100% agree because the movie was so unoriginal. First off I was jazzed to learn more about the engineers but if you’re not going to do that at least be original. Fail.

There is still one thing i still like to know: where on the ship is the propulsion system? We've seen it hover, but how does it fly at high speed and what position is the ship facing when flying?

They never should have taken this path, trying to explain the origin of the xenomorph. There is more terror in the mystery, which is why the original Alien was so exceptional even though you barely saw the alien in it's full frame. The mystery of the threat, hiding in the shadows, is what built the suspense and made the alien even more terrifying. Trying to explain its origins demystified it, made it less interesting, less terrifying.

It's an absolute mess

I doubt the blood can create engineers. This is so bs. They should have changed the script to „the engineers have lost the ability to procreate, so they chose to create as much life as they could, and populate the universe with a mirriade of diferent life forms in their own image, before they, the engineers, ceased to exist“ or something like that.

Dude whoever wrote this story wrote something way better and deeper than the makers of this movie portrayed. This is an amazing story that got a really shallow movie made about it...

Humans were created from the chosen one sacrifice + blood of deacon, fast forward we got a women that has been striped away the ability to give birth, Comes into contact with the black goo and produces a triolobite that impregnated an engineer to to then repeat the cycle of rebirth? Shits wild

The Space Jockey from the first film wasn’t fossilized, just well preserved. Fossilization requires complete burial of the object and over years mineral rich water slowly replaces the bones and leaves essentially a cast of the bone while the organic matter decomposes. The empty cast is then filled in by sediment.

Off topic: one thing I hated about Romulus was the hybrid's persona. He/it shouldn't have had one. (Lol) When he looks at the lead female and has that evil Mr. Burns smile at her; he was just born, and now he's got an evil smirk? Come on! Why should calling something "religious" imply anything other than fiction? There are in fact thousands if not millions of interpretations of many different religious mythologies and many of them directly contradict others so that means most if not all are liley fiction. I think all of them have elements of the truth, but not a single one has the entirety of it. Even if you are the most right, you are still partially wrong. I like science because they acknowledge that they don't know everything.

Aliens as a story is a mess. It's a scattering of ideas etc, all Wayland-centric. Ridley Scott hasn't helped; Alien was perfect as Gladiator, after that it's downhill. The black goo was a plot device clearly stolen from the X-Files if anyone remembers that show. The goo that transforms humans into an alien which incubates inside a host. The Xenomorph was a great idea, except when we started to see how fast it grew - gestation cycle to post-birth, including the one Shaw gave birth to. Then there's Romulus, where they couldn't let 'Big Chap' die in the vacuum of space.. with more black goo, that somehow came from this survivor with the idea that humans aren't designed for interstellar travel. Having the Engineers as 'ascended' into a multi-verse was a plot device stolen from the StarGate TV franchise. The franchise needs to fix things. Start with a competitor to Wayland who's slightly ahead of the game and is now after Rain and Andy after they leave Romulus. They can add Predators lurking as well in stealth mode, observing the events. The franchise needs to evolve beyond the formula of egg or pod+host=xeno. We get it and it's now predictable.. start fresh with a competing company with their own androids and a controllable Xeno they engineered, with their logo imprinted on the Xeno's dome. The antagonist could be the Predators, or the Engineers who aren't neutered - they're not in anther dimension etc, they're also in stealth and likewise observing developments and about to intervene as the rival company is about to create something impressive and lethal; they'd done the same and realized it was too far.

The ruiner of the franchise

Sigh…..two different engineers exist. The ones by the river in different ships and robes. The ones on lv426 and in horseshoe ships are obviously machine/organic. The “vickers” people that she hired are obviously unqualified for such a trip that’s why we have two different crews! One that follows orders and one that are just dumbass😂s like fifeild and the biologist! Do you know any biologist that would approach, touch, and speak baby talk to a threatening hammerpied? It only disturbs me now that this is such a loosely and easily translatable movie that has sooooo many people guessing at what is obviously written. We didn’t deserve this movie for one reason, audiences have lost their intelligence plain simple.
