Despite its simplicity, I genuinely enjoy this game, but there simply isn’t enough content. I don’t even expect long drawn out new campaigns, skins or weapons even. I mean, those would be great, but adding a few more horde or sentry maps would be a major addition. So far there’s only two small maps with only alien enemies.

yeah, it's a great little game. Simple, fun Alien shooting. Good if you just wanna jump in and blast aliens with randoms or friends. It can be bad if you're expecting anything more complex than that. Enjoyed it for what it was. Still gonna play it again every so often.

This game might be a lot of fun but it will still just make me feel regret while playing it because I'll be constantly reminded of how much potential there is for a great single player, story driver 'Aliens' based action game. It could be genuinely scary, genuinely tough, genuinely interesting and it has some of the coolest weapons and general technology design in cinematic history. Instead we get a live-service looter-shooter where you could swap the Xenos out with zombies and it wouldn't feel any different. The Xenomorphs are the single scariest creatures in all of cinema. They are deadly. A single Xenomorph represented the main threat for the whole of Alien Isolation. They should NEVER be as wimpish and unthreatening as they are in this game.

You should also check out the bonus game modes. Stalkers aren't bugged, they can still be hurt. The point of seeing no health bar is because they are cloaked. That's the point. If you put on damage floaters, you'd see that you were still hurting it.

The best thing about this game for a newer generation game is that you don't need internet connection nor does it have to be multiplayer only, can solely do this by yourself and that in my eyes for games in this day in age is a 90% can never give a game a full 100% unless is just explodes with content and quality of life enhancements that just overwhelm my experience in a good way but it's a def good game and I am proud of what coldiron did with the Aliens IP

This one just sucks it's so amateur setup, basically just a large regular looking alien shambling about like a fucking zombie. Homie never seen the alien trilogy. @@ARod3 The game was a glorified dlc to begin with, , it comes with 12 missions that can be completed in 25 mins each and they all play the same and dont conclude the story, you have to buy a dlc to actually kill the Queen, the little story and world building it has that is. Should have released with 21 missions minimum at release with more effort put into its development and features, they didnt bother to use a AI to lip sync their npcs, they just stand there as audio plays, which is lazy and unacceptable for a modern game. They had a potential goldmine on their hands and halfassed it and now they are moving on to make another game as if this game was a success that earned them a positive reputation or something, and not a unfinished game that died out as soon as it came. Another example of everything wrong with the industry today.

It entirely depends on your view of the game. What this dlc boils down to is 3 extra maps, the first two I heard some say that aren't that difficult, and the boss in the end is the real spike in difficulty ( as you saw. Your judgement if it's a good boss or not, but it is essentialy a suped up pretorian that creates acid on the ground and has a ranged attack. Moves around, requires mag-dumping supreme to kill and good coordination with others to not get swamped by the few tricklying minions that arrive. ). With it, you get new guns and I think a horde mode? Not sure on that. The contention point is the 15 dollars price tag. Which is essentialy something like 40-50 mins extra? I... kinda say that it's just ( but only just ) too much, honestly. Value is a personal consideration, sure, but the problem that I see is this: the new guns require a lot of grinding, the maps are good ish but they won't hold multiple runs, and I didn't see the horde mode but I heard some mixed things about it. This is a "one and dusted" thing, not something that will make you pick up fireteam again for another haul. It's okay, in the end. If you have people who want to play it anyway or have fireteam up, it's worth a good rump. But the "one and dusted" things will rear his head after.

horror games should be experienced as 1st person. Alien VS Predator is for me the best Alien/predator game ever made.. Every kill animation looked brutal. Remember how suddenly your character stands still and coughs blood, then looks at his chest, just to notice an Alien-tale that has pierced his torso from behind and blood gushing out.. That was just brutal and right in your face. But if you turn the game in 3rd person like here, it just looks so arcade. None of the kills feel brutal, it just feels like a typical grind, a typical repetitive deathmatch game like counter strike or something.

Not every alien game has to be cosmic horror, just as the movies shift thematically, games can have variety too. I like Fireteam for getting more of the action spirit of the second film, and I'd be open to even more extremes. Give me a Powerloader Simulator where I'm just moving and stacking storage crates in Bay 12, lol. An assassins creed style game where you play a xenomorph, like the older AvP titles. A God of War Predator game where you are just melee mauling legions of prey. A sniper elite predator game where it's more about the stalking and hunting and setup of the perfect kill. Not every game need be Isolation, or standard AvP fps faire, know what I mean?

The enemies in the game in general just become severe bullet sponge as you go up difficulties. People complain about it on Back 4 Blood but honestly my experience with Aliens Fire Team Elite was so much worse. Less variety, less content, even the spitters are excessively bullet sponge, etc. Which is a shame because the core game is very goodbut drug down by all of that :(.

I know you guys probably don't wanna hear this but you're using the wrong guns and the wrong classes. Alex is spot on with technician but he needs to be throwing out those stun grenades to slow her down. One of you could stay as demolisher but because the knock down is useful but don't use the smart gun. It's nice to have a gun that aims for you but it's dps is piss poor. Same for the pulse rifle. You need a gunner though. The gunner's overclock ability will massively increase you fire rate so you'll be able to burn her down way quicker. Also you gotta hit her weak points. Don't just hip firing at her, it won't do much. Also for attachments you want anything the increased fire rate and/or weak point damage. No, the stalker isn't bugged, they are just though and you're trying to kill it with a smart gun. I'm pretty sure they get some kind of damage reduction why they go invisible but you absolutely can kill them when they do. Not saying you guys are shit at the game or anything. Far from it if you got to the Queen. Just maybe haven't played it enough to know the tactics, which is understandable since you have to play pretty much everything that comes out.

They delivered on everything they said they would. Everyone said the game was missing a final boss. The game originally was like $40 so with the dlc it’s basically a full price game. I’d say the devs did well and the boss was good. With the dlc the game is more or less complete. Hopefully they add more down the line

Joe, you guys need to be using the Shotgun, its destroys the boss and elites fast. Wasting to much ammo on those harder Aliens. If you used the shotgun on the Queen with the boost, she would have gone down fast. Shotgun!!!

Yes. The gameplay and accessibility options are okay, you can turn on and off hit detection, crit detection, health bars, change the color of UI elements if you need to, etc.

Survival mode More weapons & attachments A better skill tree More classes A skill leveling system An interactive environment If they can add these things the game won't be so stale & flat. To be fair.. that's the only real big reveal, and since people wanted to fight the queen in the base game so much, it was a given that this would have been the boss. I mean, it's Aliens after all. Hell, the TRAILER on Steam has no qualms showing the queen XD
