Jerry is the same Jerry as jerry-built as in cheap, flimsy or badly built. Jerry-rigged is patched up, minimalistic or the absolute minimum to make it work. _However, the expression “jerry-rigged” was in use for decades before anyone referred to German combatants as “Gerry.” We’ve found uses of “jerry-rigged” dating from the 1890s, when the “jerry” part simply meant badly made_

I don't remember which nationality that was. But if it was a reputation for being poorly built, it wasn't Germans. You also need to be mindful of your source. Some sources are influenced by politics and ideology more than historical fact.

Ok, that was an enjoyable story that ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger. Is there more? I can easily envision this story concept drawn into a long drawn out story arc as the war starts and develops with multiple developing characters and mini-arcs that interact with each other, resulting in many episodes, perhaps even 88! More please!

The plot seemed to be jumping all over the place. Is the main story supposed to be a flashback that ends with Thomas being a captive of the Saurians? Nothing that follows leads to that. Otherwise, how does the opening scene relate to Thomas's visit to Sauria prime? This feels like somebody had a bunch of scenes they liked and strung them randomly together. Just how many careers did this Thomas have?
