Some people seem to fail simple understanding. A story does not have to follow your rules.😂. It can be anything. The author gets to decide, we get to read. We can then like or dislike depending on our tastes. But we don't get to complain tgat it doesn't confirm to some arbitrary rule.

You are welcome to your opinion but I kinda disagree. I've read stories that were just train wrecks and seem to have no sense of continuity and detection. I believe arbitrary rules often apply, and determine if the authors are successful or their stories fade into obscurity. But having said that, I think in this case, connecting with the right audience is key.
@geofthompson3844Ай бұрын
@peasantsarerevolting9343 so, you actually agree. I understand the rules. But the writer has the choice. We as readers just get to offer critical opinion. The writer has to see our criticisms and act.
@peasantsarerevolting9343Ай бұрын
@geofthompson3844 I agree to a degree. I wasn't trying to attack your stance either. But successful stories, movies, songs, car designs, etc, etc, all had mass favorable criticism. Even the author of this story was testing the waters, I mean, they did put in on KZbin to share with the hopes of mass appeal. I highly doubt they shared the story with the intent of "if you don't like it you can go somewhere else". All I was trying to say was some cases our rules do apply.

This movie plays off of every stereotype involving space aliens I've ever heard. They have no morals, they believe that having a supreme dictator is the natural order of things, they view humans as primitive insects, etcetera. The truth is, we've never met aliens from other planets. In all probability, they have every chance of being more moral than the worst humans in history, and we've had a lot of evil supreme dictators. It doesn't get much worse than that. Luckily, they don't speak for all humans, and it's foolish to expect an equally evil alien to speak for all aliens either. I won't argue with the validity of religion, but I will argue with the claim that humans are the only species in the universe to have more than one religion. Again, we've never met aliens, and frankly, it's not that hard to develop multiple religions. Actually, it's so easy, that it's extremely difficult NOT to do so, given enough time. Many religions have common roots, but they got distorted by games of telephone branching in multiple directions. Even religions that don't have common roots can be easily explained by human settlements that had no contact with each other at the time of their religious development.

I really wish that people who record these digital voice-overs would use common sense. You can PUNCTUATE your sentences, and make PARAGRAPHS that cause the digital voice to end the sentence, or pause. If the digital voice mispronounces a word, you can SPELL IT SOME OTHER WAY to make the SOUND that should be pronounced by the digital voice. You don't have to just run the voice over a script without punctuation, and let it record obvious errors in pronunciation, and then to make things worse, you do all the subtitles with all those same errors.

This story is more like word salad fiction or science fiction without the science. It is lacking the elements which enamour many of us to the genre, consequently generating a few critical reviews and objections. Granted, the story takes place in space with aliens in a future with advanced technology, which is often the realm of the sci-fi genre, but that is where the similarities between science fiction and this story end. This is more like poetry-fiction in which "poetic license" is heavily applied. I found the comments to be more interesting and telling than the story.
