Not a gamer myself, I recall the AvP like 1000 years ago, which truly had hell of atmosphere (a marine alone in the dark, getting out of flares, predator throwing taunt roars, alien essentially moving in all axes at once...) and a cool multiplayer skrmish. It has been a looong time since and I may have grown too old but this one in the video feels ... fking boring?

I personally preferred the Sierra games AvP games on PC because the movement felt so much faster and twitchier but 2010 was absolutely the best Alien or Predator game to have come out in a while especially when compared to disasters like Colonial Marines.

I say this, bc in one of the Predator movies, they have a moment where a Predator perfectly mimics the voice of a dying victim, and the only way that they know its a fake is that the victim keeps calling out even after they put him out of his misery.

I agree, although the last two levels of the alien campaign were pretty hard, especially on Nightmare difficulty, harder than any of the predator levels, nothing comes close to the difficulty and sheer terror of Marine though haha.

Fore me, this was the most fun campaign. Although I admit, I'm biased since Pred is my favorite. I would really have enjoyed a sequel to this game on the Xenomorph homeworld. New Xenos to fight and hunt. A fast-paced, desperate human mission and story. New Predator tech and better movement (he was kinda clunky in this game). The possibilities were quiet vast. Still, this was a fun game for me while playing as Predator. I didn't care much for the other two, though the Alien was kinda fun for his stealth kills. Lol.

Marines: watch out for xenos Predator: *growls in delight as its prey is preoccupied* Me: you should worry less about the aliens you can see and worry more about the one you *CAN'T* see because that's the worse threat

@@johnbigwick3027 yeah but xenos need total darkness to hide effectively as their skin is black and darkness helps and whenever the Marines fight they have flashlights to help them while the predator has cloaking abilities which renders them completely invisible night or day the only time they are "seen" is when the place they are in wobbles like the space above a grill when it's lit and by the time you "see" them you will be shooting at air but with xenos once you see them you can kill them as you see them once they see you and they don't try to hide after that but with the predator you don't even see them physically you just see the typical image wobble seen in hot days or in video games that have invisiblity in it and it's never a full image it's like a glimpse or a "blink and you miss it and then you get your head and spine ripped out" moment and the predators are way smarter as well they've been hunting armed humans for a while and if this game is canon which it might not be the helmets they use habe sensors that help them identify the exact threat level of a target and will apply stealth and different combat tactics depending on the threat while xenos only can tell how much of a threat a human is by scent presumably the stronger the scent the more lethal the target which compared to the predator tech in identifying threats it shows species type of attack the range of its attacks and with that knowledge they can apply different tactics according to the type of threat and in reality predator will never allow itself to be seen heck I believe they kill while cloaked in the movie but for game purpose they uncloak you to make you more vulnerable during the animation but if this was based on the movie the predator would never allow humans to see him in order to hunt effective so in short the predator is completely invisible no matter where he is or what the light level is and can only be seen fully when uncloaked while the xenomorph relies the physical darkness and the shadows in combination to its oil black skin and the predator will never be seen fully and will only appear as a ripple image in the corner of your eye but will relocate before you even aim at its original position and will be invisible regardless of the condition of the environment but the xenomorph is only almost invisible in complete darkness and once seen will immediately attack and never retreat into the shadows and once it's out of the shadows it's completely visible and will die as soon as it's spotted

For real! That’s why I loved alien: isolation- I can’t imagine how fun it’d be from the other perspective. Trying to outsmart groups of people who “learn” your own tendencies. where the AI adapts to YOUR tactics not the other way around. i just want a entire game campaign of being the predator. something that really deepens the lore. i would love to see a Predator concrete jungle hd remake. But frankly would something close to what we got in in this game just way longer and more in depth where we get to see more of predator culture. its weapons, ships and technology. maybe even predator prime homeworld. it would be cool if there is some rpg elements in it with the ability to customize the predator like in the game Hunting Grounds but like way more options for customizing the look of the predator and what armor and weapons it has. like i want a weapons wall we can pick our gear from like you see in Concrete Jungle and in AVPR.

This game is technically inaccurate. The Predators have a code when hunting. One of the rules is that the target has to be able to defend itself. Unarmed civilians with no military training are not valid targets.

The predator is not technically hunting here. It's retrieving technology/artefacts the humans stole or looted, however you look at it, and removing any future possibility of such a thing happening again in that same place. Basically cleaning up a mess.

That code is applied to the hunt. Dark here was sent by his clan on a clean up, which is often what elite yautja are sent to do for their clans. Besides, most of the civilians killed were high ranking officials in the facilities he needed to use their retinal scans to get deeper in said facilities

I'm waiting for Rebeliion to developed the sequel to this Game. Maybe in the near future, This game a lot more to be explored in terms of Story and Lore. I had more fun in Alien Campaign, Predator Campaign is fun and Challenging too just like Marine.

i came here because i saw a new game Predator: Hunting Grounds and when i looked at it, i was in disbelief. This cant be real. This cant be the actual game. But it is. Developed in 2020, that piece of garbage has the graphics of a 2004 game. No thematic, no feel, no soul. And then there is this 2010 AWP game. Beautiful, gorgeous, amazing UI, predator language for integrity, smooth marine gameplay... how is it so much better?
