An explanation of total internal reflection (i.e. the wierd bouncing in the glass): When light enters a different substance, its angle changes based on that substance's refractive index. When light moves from a substance with a higher refractive index to a substance with a lower ( ex. Glass to air) and the exiting angle will be 90° or great, the light will reflect internally instead of leaving the substance. This is how fiber optic cables work.
@owlman1453 жыл бұрын
Ya, the triangles behave that way, the rectangles just work with some opposite face mechanics that don't really make sense but make the game interesting at least.

With the prisms (triangles) they split the light because different colors of light refract different amounts. The higher the wavelength, the more it refracts. So red refracts less than violet. This video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5jKmmOda5yojq8 is a really good basic explanation of why.

The shorter wavelength blue light refracts more(higher refractive index) than the longer wavelength red light. This means that when it goes from a more dense object(the prisms/glass) to a less dense object(air), the blue light will bend more than the red light.

How long can i make the laser trail? How many times can i get the same laser through a single prism or bounce off a single mirror? The game is begging for achievements for such creativity. Not just "beat level #", but "clear a level without using all tools", "get a laser length of x", etc.
