Note tyler: The “coin” symbol on the map is just that: a cash game, to gain some spare coin should you run low. The “cards,” however, are the next step in the story, and your quest for milk. Ill be back next time with some more observations

I like the fact that the coin flip man with the long french name keeps flipping the coin and picking it back up without celebrating in his success, meaning he isnt getting the opposite face as the one he is expecting each time. So he technically can rig it, he is just rigging it half a flip off his goal
@elektron12422 жыл бұрын
Fun fact: d’Alembert is actually a slightly famous mathematician! Also he could have been flipping it for so long that he’s completely unfazed by the fact that he can flip a coin however he wants.

6:55 there is a way to cheat a coin flip, but I only know the most general things you have to do. The two things you must control is time and spin speed. As long as the air time and the rotation is the same you should be able to get consistent results in the coin flip. After you flip the coin the only thing you can control is when you catch it, so to increase or decrease the time raise or lower your hand respectively. Now there’s probably a specific strategy of hand movements to make this easier, but I only saw a KZbin video about the nature of coin flips.

25:40 It's actualy safe to grip a swordblade like that as long as you hold it as tightly as you can. Blades only cut when they slide. This is how halfswording works in HEMA, though it's still safer to have gauntlets lets your grip fall and your hand slip.

0:45 Starting off early, I see. It should be "Pom" or "Pahlm." 2:30 "Zhahn-Darm!" (The gendarmes were the police) 6:29 "Boh-ee-shuns" (Boeotia is a district of Greece - he's using it as a synonym for "Philistine") 8:06 The word you skipped over is pronounced "boo-tahd". 12:30 "Sah-GAA-si-tee". 18:06 "On-ree Dah-rah-mitz" 18:43 That was pretty close, actually. "Bear-zher-aack" 22:56 "Ree-sheu-lyeu" (The u sound here is not easy to transcribe to make sense in English, sorry.) 23:46 "Muh-syeu" (Same u sound as in Richelieu) 23:50 But where else am I going to get comment fodder from? 24:17 "Cah-PRER-uh". It's an island in the Mediterranean, so clearly Theodore's not doing _too_ badly. 25:18 Again, it is "Leev-re." 25:47 Sophie "Doe-bin-yee."

7:13 The satire in question is probably _Candide,_ which Leonard Bernstein later adapted into an operetta. 7:53 I'm saving myself for marriage, Madame. 8:18 One wonders why they play cards with Madame here. 11:12 She's just called the Reverend airheaded, soulless, and poor, as an example. 21:33 I looked it up earlier and my meager research suggests that it could be Whist or Ruff - both trick-taking games a la Bridge or Euchre (indeed, Whist is a direct ancestor to modern-day Bridge). But really, it's just there to provide context for the card tricks. 26:13 Really, Deborah? (note: when you die, every muscle in your body relaxes - including the one controlling the exit from the colon.)

He wouldn't have died from that. He's faking it. I don't know if he will be later on in the game but he is faking it. He grabbed the end of the Saber and barely stabbed himself. It would leave a nasty wound and could infect and cause death but the stab itself couldn't have killed. And from the location of the stab it was near the lover and kidneys. You have 2 kidneys so that can't kill you and the lover can regenerate 70% of itself back so again it's not fatal
