We have the same computers. Yes, the black Alienware is a tough bird. Mine is still going, too. It needs a repast of the thermal paste, but other than that, it's still a great machine. I might refurbish it and use it as a media server... The rubberized coating never got nasty on mine because I am light on my toys, but a light sanding and repaint would go a long way in restoring the laptop. On the other hand, an auto chemical moisturizes the rubber and makes it look new.

This is may sting but mine was 2754. With 200 dell bucks,for total 2954 w 149 4090 4tb 64gb ram but ill tell ya its a beast. And better in perf and less price thn competition

Yikes, i only paid $3.2k for 480hz display, 4090, 64 gb ram, cherry mechanical keyboard, and 4tb. I thought that was the normal price but i guess it is not normally that low?

DONT THAT FIGURE , YA I BOUGHT ON THERE WEB SITE WITH EVERY THING, I GOT THE 2 TERA SSD UPGRADE SATA I DONT KNOW IF THEY STILL OFFER THAT 2 TERA SSD NOW BUT YA FULL BUILD EVERY THING MAXED MECHANICAL KEY UPGRADED SCREEN EVERYTHING BUT THE 5 TERA OPTION TOTAL WAS 4860.00 SOMETHING. MAYBE ME BUYING IT MADE IT GO ON SALE.

Having more storage does not make it heat more. Just FYI. I doubt it cost $5000. Maybe almost $4000 I am guessing. I doubt you would pay more for it than it costs at the manufacturer right now. Its not the most expensive one you can get. You said so yourself that you didn't get the larger SSD option.

HI THANKS FOR CHECKING IT OUT YA IT COSTED 4868.00 ETC YA THERE WAY OVER PRICED EVERY THING MAXED OUT BUT THE SSD ONLY THE MAXED OUT 2 TERA SSD , I DID DO MAX ON EVERY OPTION BUT THAT. WAY COOL. BUT I THINK THE LEGION MITE GIVE IT A RUN FOR ITS MONEY , ONLY MAIN DIFFERANCE IS THIS ALIENWARE COMES WITH ELEMENT 13 A STRANGE BLACK COATING OR A THERMAL PASTE.
