That microphone was awful. My dad tried one of these and said it kept cutting out and just didn't perform well when he tried to play his games. Could've been a bad batch, but I haven't been able to trust gaming labeled headsets for some time with how often I ran into that problem.

The ASUS headset sounds like it has all the features this one is missing. I just wish we could get more of a music comparison. To my gaming almost always sounds the same on these headsets.

Obviously gonna be better after EQ tuning, but what if you don't tune the EQs on these headphones? How do they perform out of the box? I'll get a Windows PC to tune them at some point, but I'm currently on MacOS.

Because the headset is wireless. Current tech doesn't allow the microphone to stream high quality input wirelessly. You can check these settings on "Control Panel > Sound > Recording". It's gonna be locked on "Tape Recorder" for wireless headsets, but changeable for wired ones (if the mic is good). I don't really know the science behind it, I just know that's how it is: if you want a wireless headset, you'll have to compromise with mic quality. Sadge.

There is not much if anything better than the Maxwell. The Maxwell is also more expensive and quite fragile.

Maxwell's audio quality is probably still better, but these Alienwares look more durable than the Maxwell's. Also the Maxwell's don't have the best imaging so it's not the easiest to tell which direction an enemy is. I imagine it's better on the Alienware's.

Check out the FIIO ft1, should be a great option for those with a mod mic or desktop mic. Or someone that doesnt need a mic.

Mike definitely doesn't sound bad I still think the razor black shark V2 pro is probably the best microphone coupled with the best sounding headset. Obviously there's better microphone headsets out there but then you compromise on the sound quality usually but I like what I'm seeing almost 300k subscribers
