Because the headset is wireless. Current tech doesn't allow the microphone to stream high quality input wirelessly. You can check these settings on "Control Panel > Sound > Recording". It's gonna be locked on "Tape Recorder" for wireless headsets, but changeable for wired ones (if the mic is good). I don't really know the science behind it, I just know that's how it is: if you want a wireless headset, you'll have to compromise with mic quality. Sadge.

You dont actually. This headset was built for pro gamers. And pro gramers are in arenas w lots of sound. This mic sounds like that because it doesnt pick background noise. Because its a pro mic. Alienware is not stupid. They asked pro gamers opinions for every thing in this headset.

Obviously gonna be better after EQ tuning, but what if you don't tune the EQs on these headphones? How do they perform out of the box? I'll get a Windows PC to tune them at some point, but I'm currently on MacOS.

That microphone was awful. My dad tried one of these and said it kept cutting out and just didn't perform well when he tried to play his games. Could've been a bad batch, but I haven't been able to trust gaming labeled headsets for some time with how often I ran into that problem.

There is not much if anything better than the Maxwell. The Maxwell is also more expensive and quite fragile.

Maxwell's audio quality is probably still better, but these Alienwares look more durable than the Maxwell's. Also the Maxwell's don't have the best imaging so it's not the easiest to tell which direction an enemy is. I imagine it's better on the Alienware's.

So this headset would be a lot better if they add the swivel like the G Pro X2. Mic is decent, not as horrible as the GPX2. And Alienware has ANC, which GPX2 lacks.

Mike definitely doesn't sound bad I still think the razor black shark V2 pro is probably the best microphone coupled with the best sounding headset. Obviously there's better microphone headsets out there but then you compromise on the sound quality usually but I like what I'm seeing almost 300k subscribers

I play on ps5 pro and i bought these and there awesome I dont even use the mic too much best headphones on the market and im coming from the astro a50x turtle beach stealth pro rog delta 2. audeze maxwell sony h9 turtle beach atlas air blackshark v2 pro wireless 2024 model razer kraken v4 pro wireless these are just some headphones i mentioned and these Alienware pro are my daily driver all the other headphones are in my closet and the comfort is second to none try them there awesome stay safe and happy gaming to all
