Same ! I felt like an 2070 super would be much more futureproof but I will get a Ps5 so 2070 is enough for Pc exclusive games.

I got the a51m r2, with the 10900k and 2080s// I had to return it because just idling it was hitting 99C. Ridiculous power but the laptop can't cool it.

10th gens are meant to hit 100c according to intel themselves. Did u undervolt? I also underclock mine to get better thermals. Right now my thermal gets to 92 celcius when playing cyberpunk.

My bad i misread. Yes idling at 99c is not normal even for a 10900k. Definitely a defect one :)

I think ima get this same exact set up but with the RTX 2070 super instead, and the oled screen. Would you say it would be a bit safer to run ultra on a 2070 super?

Thats what i wanted to get but Thailand didn't have that option :(. Although, if u could wait maybe the 3000 series might be available in laptops this summer or next.

I dont recommend to play games on ultra but if u monitored the cpu and gpu temperature when u game (using MSI afterburner) maybe thats fine. For example, i do have both of them at 80 celcius when playing borderlands 3 at high settings after undervolt and underclock (using throttlestop). I think below 90 is fine for a 10th gen processor.

DhaamTheSlayer Awe man, that really sucks that it wasn’t available in Thailand. I am super excited because this will be my first gaming rig ever, I always wanted to build a PC but decided on a laptop instead because I want it to be portable and on the go. I can’t wait to check this bad boy out!
