It is very special, I wish they made a 13 model, this wide but longer than could take a 20 hp it would be perfect.

Did you have the motor locked down when you went in reverse? Thanks for taking your time and energy to make this review! Taking this set up out next weekend. Probably at Spanish H. You had me rolling man when you said probably ruined my motor 😂😂

The manual for the FastCat 12 is calling for a 15" motor shaft and that one is like 24" ( for the standard newport ) did you feel like the motor was riding too low in the water? The articles I saw indicated you might get more speed from that same motor at a slightly shallower depth - if the transom mount board on the fast cat was slightly higher , would that put too much torque on the mount board ? Wonder if that would increase your top speed.........

I don't think those wetsite people really know what they're talking about. There are so many variables. Fastcat12 calls for a 15-inch shaft for gas outboards, but electric is a different animal. I've found that a longer shaft actually makes the boat go faster with an electric motor. For example, I've gotten faster speeds with the NT300 (which has a longer shaft) over the NK300 (15-inch shaft) on the same boat. In some boats, the NK300 is useless, while the longer shaft NT300 works well. Also, the eLite, which has about a 15-inch shaft, feels too short on the Fastcat12. It cavitates if you lean even slightly forward from the seat.

Aliex, off topic a bit. I need your personal recommendation for an automatic air pump to inflate/deflate a SUP with the Halkey-Roberts Valve that so many of them use. Thx!

Hi Brad, the question is right on topic! I've used 3 different AC air pumps over time, and none are better than the Sea Eagle Pump. It comes with the Halkey-Roberts adapter, a built-in battery, and it shuts off once it reaches the pressure setting you put in. It also deflates! WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE BIXPY FOR THIS BOAT?

@@satra270 as a trolling motor maybe I wouldn't bixpy excel on smaller inflatables
