I am a new revert, and so far I have cried twice during this series. You speak truth, teacher. I was once a Christian who was searching to be close to God, but I couldn’t. In my young adulthood, I fell into depression and alcoholism, and I felt my connection with God disappear. I tried many times to return to Christianity, but I could not try a religion that had already failed me. I simply doubted it too much. But Islam, with its clear proofs, I did not doubt. I swear the first time I picked up an English Quran and recited Al-Fatihah, I felt as if my heart opened up for the first time. I was memorized. I couldn’t stop reading it. It was as if the Lord was commanding me to keep reading it. I spent hours reading the Quran until I had to stop because I was falling asleep. In this episode you spoke of certainty, and I must say that it is a powerful lesson. My decision to convert was one of certainty. I prayed to God that I was making the right decision and I knew that if I was committing a sin, God would guide me in the right direction. God has guided me in the right direction towards Islam.

How to attain certainty(yaqeen): -Create a plan for knowledge (and finish it) -don’t give an attentive ear to doubts (run away from doubts) -contemplate and think (look around e.g. sun, sky, moon,) -sit with the people of yaqeen -Dua (ask him to give you yaqeen)

**Knowledge levels منازل العلم …** - Delusione الوهم - Doubt الشك - الضن - Certnainty اليقين ### **Certainty اليقين** قال شيخ العارفين الجنيد: **اليقين هو استقرار العلم الذي لا ينقلب ولا يتحول، ولا يتغير في القلب**. ! وقال سهل: **حرام على قلب أن يشم رائحة اليقين، وفيه سكون إلى غير الله** وقيل: **من علاماته الالتفات إلى الله في كل نازلة، والرجوع إليه في كل أمر، والاستعانة به في كل حال، وإرادة وجهه بكل حركة وسكون**. **مَنْزِلَةُ الْيَقِـينِ:** وَمِنْ مَنَازِلِ {إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ} مَنْزِلَةُ الْيَقِينِ : وَهُوَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ مَنْزِلَةُ الرُّوحِ مِنَ الْجَسَدِ. وَبِهِ تَفَاضَلَ الْعَارِفُونَ. وَفِيهِ تَنَافَسَ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ. وَإِلَيْهِ شَمَّرَ الْعَامِلُونَ. وَعَمَلُ الْقَوْمِ إِنَّمَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ. وَإِشَارَاتُهُمْ كُلُّهَا إِلَيْهِ. وَإِذَا تَزَوَّجَ الصَّبْرُ بِالْيَقِينِ: وُلِدَ بَيْنَهُمَا حُصُولُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الدِّينِ. قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى، وَبِقَوْلِهِ: يَهْتَدِي الْمُهْتَدُونَ {وَجَعَلَنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ} وَخَصَّ سُبْحَانَهُ أَهْلَ الْيَقِينِ بِالِانْتِفَاعِ بِالْآيَاتِ وَالْبَرَاهِينِ. فَقَالَ، وَهُوَ أَصْدَقُ الْقَائِلِينَ: {وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ وَخَصَّ أَهْلَ الْيَقِينِ بِالْهُدَى وَالْفَلَاحِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْعَالَمِينَ، فَقَالَ: {وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ أُولَئِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ وَأَخْبَرَ عَنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ: بِأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَقِينِ، فَقَالَ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُمْ مَا نَدْرِي مَا السَّاعَةُ إِنْ نَظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ فَـالْيَقِينُ رُوحُ أَعْمَالِ الْقُلُوبِ الَّتِي هِيَ أَرْوَاحُ أَعْمَالِ الْجَوَارِحِ. وَهُوَ حَقِيقَةُ الصِّدِّيقِيَّةِ. وَهُوَ قُطْبُ هَذَا الشَّأْنِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ مَدَارُهُ. **Levels of Certainty منازل اليقين :** علم اليقين ( كلا لو تعلمون علم اليقين ) عين اليقين (ثم لترونها عين اليقين ) حق اليقين ( ان هذا لهو حق اليقين ) .هؤلاء المنازل ليست بأيقن بعضها من بعض ، ولكنها منازل مختلفة - العلم يستحملك واليقين يحملك knowledge employs you, and certainty carries you ### So How to attain it … 1. Create plan of knowledge START SOMETHING AND FINISH IT (صناعة المحاور) 2. Don’t give attentive ear to شبهات 3. Contemplation: think, think, think…وفي الأرض آيات للموقنين 4. Companionship 5. الدعاء : قال الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم : ****أسألُ اللَّهَ العفوَ والعافيةَ ، فإنَّ النَّاسَ لم يُعطَوا بعدَ اليقينِ شيئًا خيرًا منَ العافيةِ****
