If you listen carefully you will notice that there is no distinction between sz/ś and cz/ć but I don't think that I've ever heard non-native polish speaker that would nail it down 🤔 But on the second thought I think I might have heard belarussians distinguish those pairs of sounds 🤔

English has that ł like in your middle name but only at the end of syllables. It's velar L and that's why it disappeared next to other velars like in 'talk', 'walk', etc and even labials like 'calm', 'psalm' (although the L tends to be preserved in non-rhotic accents that drop R syllable finally.) It probably was W in an intervening stage before disappearing. Latin had this sound when a back vowel followed at least in middle position. 'discipulus' "student" with ł but despite what Wiktionary says that was wasn't true with front vowels like 'miles' "soldier", which has L pronounced with the blade of the tongue rather than the dorsum.

На польском она звучит как то иначе... по родному что ли. Работаю на БМВ уже десять лет с поляками и за это время выучил польский(не на сто конечно но многое понимаю и общаюсь с ними). That's because the translation to English screwed up the rhythm. Certain places morph the time in a clumsy way--which isn't to say the English singer is bad, but the lyrics in English just don't quite fit, which is why translating music is often incredibly difficult.

I took my 75 seconds, untill minute 1:15, when her word "oczy" was SLIGHTLY different, to realise she's not polish. Bloody fucking hell. I speak english for about 10 years now, regularly, and i don't sound nearly as good in english be it singing or speaking. I'm not even gonna talk about obvious stuff like how well she sings, how beautiful her voice is. But this pronounciation, and let's be honest, polish is one of the hardest languages in the world to pronounce correctly, is on point. There's only few SLIGHT tells. I've never seen non-polish person imitate the language so well, even after living in poland for years. Crazy.

I'm not suprised though, it seems that for most non native spekers, the cz, dż, sz, rz sounds and differentiating them is the biggest problem. And no, i cannot write them phonetically in english, i genuinely have no idea how. Just know that they all sound close to sh sound, but all are different from each other.

(я уж молчу про польское л и рж, и носовые звуки) поэтому я бы не сказал , что это было сильно легче (напротив для близкородственных языков, бывает сложнее избавиться от акцента, тебе кажется, что какая разница польское "oczy" и русское "очи" и мозг сложнее перестроить) думаю это видео, это результат многих часов, дней труда. поразительный талант.
