Your determination to plough on has produced some of the finest road trip footage I have ever seen. Be proud, because I assure you, your footage has transported eyes across the globe! I truly had no idea Vietnam was this eye-poppingly dramatic, and you've given me the itch to do this loop if ever I get the chance. Thank you again, brilliant determination to complete the loop, and so great to have shared this with your father.

It was a really nice experience to be able to do this with your family. Especially with your parent. I missed my dad, my dad got paralyzed when I was 6 and I spent the next 30 years helping my mom take care of him. I didn't get the experience of what it's like to be spoiled by my parents. Even though it's tough growing up and having to become an adult early, I would still wish my dad were alive, I don't mind taking care of him longer and would definitely take him to experience some of these adventures.

Woow!!! That was some awesome kind of traveling video on a motorbike upon such fascinating and dangerous mountain roads. I can imagine how horrible that must have been to sit on a bike as a duo-rider that far. It's so much tougher, because you have to balance your upper body only with your back. For the main rider it is much easier, because he can rest his arms on the steering and that helps to support his back a lot. I ride motorbikes for many years and I never went farther than 100km and that was tiring enough for my butt and back.. I feel so sorry for you and your Dad. Excursions like these are something you don't want to do it again unless you are running for your life. Definitely a great video.Thank you Alina.

Pretty impressive trip. Some amazing scenery. I had an acquaintance who was a somewhat skilled bike rider, but not with Vietnamese traffic, and it ended up with him losing his life, and his wife injured badly but surviving. So Alina's warnings should be taken seriously. Benefit of being a KZbinr is that even though you're not really there when you're there. You can look at your video and and see what you actually did. Nice video as always.

I drove the loop with little motorbike experience with no issues. This does not negate the inherit risks associated with the loop. You definitely need to be very careful. I had a private guide and I drove behind him at all times and took it nice and slow around turns. The key is to be confident but not over-confident. The most dangerous part of the entire loop is coming around the turns where there can be oncoming traffic so I cant stress how important it is to take it slow on the turns and stick to your lane. I thank God for his keeping me calm, safe and protected. It was the ride of a lifetime!! It was nice to relive my journey thru your vlog. I have a short cinematic video of my journal on my channel. By the way, we did not drive those narrow roads you showed in the video. I've seen them in some of the Ha Jiang Vlogs but they can be avoided!

My personal preferences are the more Nordic countries, I told you about Canada as my first bucketlist to do thing but I have Asian roots partly. So I think India will the first place I will ever visit in Asia as my far ancestors came from it. The chaos, the absolute madness etc, yes must have experienced that as well. I wish when I reach your dad’s age I have at least half of his energy and desire to see new places/do new things… I’m going to Vietnam soon, for three months, I’m not really interested in doing the Ha Giang Loop myself, but I still enjoyed watching the video. I’ve been following you on and off for a few years now, and one of the things that make me “come back for more” (videos), is that you don’t glorify travel experiences just for glorifying’s sake (if that even makes any sense in English), you don’t present a pumped up “wow” version of an experience “burying” the “buts” someone SHOULD have in mind before doing something similar. Someone could say “you tell it as it is”, which I like and appreciate. Cheers from Thessaloniki, Greece.

Poor Alina. The whole loop, which I’ve done twice, is paved. But your guides chose to take a slightly shorter route on unpaved material. I didn’t do that, so didn’t have to suffer. On the other hand, when I did it the second time, a year ago November, we went very high and ran into a heavy, blinding snowstorm. My Hmong friends all disappeared and I had to do it alone with little visibility until the road descended enough to get under the clouds. Although I am 74, I put 47,000 km on my motorbike over 3 years against the wishes of my local friends. :) The Vietnamese think one should hang up one’s motorbike helmet when he is about 65 and stay home. Haha, no way. By the way, Ha Giang is two syllables (Ha-Zahn is pretty close to their pronunciation). (And Laos is Lao-like the beer you drank.)
