Hi Alina! Your Filipino typhoon flying adventure reminds me of my own tornado flying adventure above Oklahoma and Texas decades ago. This was a nerve-racking experience, but all turned out OK. I am happy to know that you landed safely, Alina!

Been to el nido about july 9-16 2018. Flew with ayala group's airswift as well. Terminal 4. And experienced the same turbulent, shaky but ok landing. I got a substantial discount with airswift because I stayed with another ayala group owned hotel called Lio. When the ticketing/ travel agent learned that i booked myself in Lio a few days prior, she just immediately gave me a discount with Airswift. Lio is located about 4km away from that beach. I was able to visit 14 islands total when I was there. That's about 8 and 6 islands in two days that I stayed there. I remember it was also rainy on some days. I hope you somehow managed to enjoy your stay. There have been many times that I repeatedly commented in many of your videos, back when you were still in Canada, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Albania, etc to consider visiting the Philippines... I am just kinda disappointed that the weather was not greatly cooperative. I know Ukraine and Canada don't have a weather like ours in Southeast Asia.. but yes, I hope you still found your stay a joyful experience. I hope you would come back. Loved you ever since your guesting in yt Marina's Dating Beyond Borders...

Flying a small turbo-prop plane is always an adventure. Landed 1 or 2 times in Erie, PA at Christmas when the runway was hard packed snow in spots and naturally the ramps were hard packed snow. Have read that props give more control in bad weather than jet engines. Therefore, prop planes can fly when jets can't. Needless to say, even in good weather prop planes are more turbulent when flying than a small jet plane.

Hey, Hi, Alina! Haven’t commented in a while. But, your ride in that “shake rattle and roll” puddle jumper prop reminded me of a business flight I once had to make across Lake Michigan, in the middle of a thunderstorm, at night!!!! Those planes are usually louder, especially where you were seated behind the props! On my night flight, the flashing strobes illuminated and created a “freeze frame” effect on the rain droplets suspended around the fuselage!!! The flashes of lightening did the same, but allowed one to see further out from the plane. And imagine the claps of thunder! I think I had Gordon Lightfoot song, “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” playing in my head - it’s about a maritime tragedy in the Great Lakes area, lol - but music consoles me sometimes if I hum it in my head! One of the most frightening flights of my life, looking back and chuckling now! There’s an axiom that says “Wherever you are, that’s where you are!” Simple enough. If that’s in a typhoon, then it’s a typhoon! Just keep positive, and deal with it the best you can, with the hope things will change (as they do) for the better! Grateful you are still with us, sweet woman! ❤

So when storms like this happens, malls often announce that people can stay there and parking is free. Depends on where they are, staying at home means there's probably no power and water in their area. Sometimes flooding happens.

Hello Alina, „In case of fire, please leave the building before posting it to social media.“ So much fun! Have not been to El Nido but some other Island. I do not remember the name but it also was not Cebu I think. Flying out of Manila domestic Airport was also an adventure. The day before I flew, there was an accident, wehere two airplanes crashed on the ground at Manila Airport. Our Flight started in an old Airbus A300 in which I could read all signs, because they where written in German language. So it was used in it’s life before somewhere else for a different airline. After boarding, the plane drove slowly to the runway and did not try to takeoff. Instead we returned to a parking position. Then men in blue overalls came into the plane and went down the isles. About 30min later, we were allowed to leave the plane and got a replacement plane 4h later. Best Regards, Ralf

Wanted to fly in in December, 1700€ the cheapest ticket ..holiday season... have to stick to those times unfortunately .... :( So dream the dream and watch Alina. Maybe if one plans a year in advance it will be cheaper. but prices definitely went up so much that traveling is not for everyone anymore.

Hi Alina, I experienced the fright of my life when I was vacationing in the Dominican Republic. My week stay was cut short to just 3 days because of typhoon Maria. All tourists were ask to leave. The plane was swaying and abruptly jolted down . All passengers were screaming. But a plane is safer than a helicopter because it could glide. I rode a copter.and a biplane before which are far way dangerous during a stormy day. By the way, my niece is also named Alina. She majored in French and now teaches English in Madrid. Alinas are smart people LOL. 😃
