I lived for 14 years in São Paulo (I'm from Rio de Janeiro) and whenever I went to Rio, which was quite often I always went on the sleeper class (in Portuguese it's called "onibus leito"). The trip between São Paulo and Rio lasts 6 hours so I always got the mid-night bus and arrived at my destination at 6;00am. I always considered this option perfect because it was much cheaper than travelling by plane and I always arrived feeling rested.

To me the sleeper bus works perfectly because I usually take medication when travelling in vehicles (nausea) and it makes me drowsy, so I tend to just sleep it off. I also don't eat a lot when travelling due to my condition, so the snacks in the sleeper class are just enough for me, I don't need to buy anything else in the shops. :) I'll just have a proper meal when I arrive at my destination. Enjoy Floripa! I usually visit during vacations (I'm from Rio Grande do Sul, just below) and it's such an interesting region to explore. I have an architect friend in Florianopolis who, I met her in Rome while I was playing a Europe guitar tour. She was the most beautiful creature I have ever met. 18 years later, that's still the case. Don't tell my wife I said so... 😂 The bus systems here in Mexico are a mixed bag of nuts. Some buses have square wheels and exhaust leaks and smelly seats. But, the other half... Just like Brazil. "Europe quality" buses. There is a brand of bus that they call "executive class" which has only half as many seats, that lay all the way back, very wide, bed-like. The suspension is so that you don't feel the road at all. No middle of the road, here. The buses are either fantastic or they suck horribly. Guarana was available everywhere in the United States in Texas and energy drinks in the United States for a half dozen years. It was cheap, it was the only energy supplement that didn't make my heart get palpitations, and it actually helped my energy levels. And then, it became extremely hard to find, and eventually, you can't find it. Nicely done video. Enjoyed it. I'm considering making my channel into something similar to yours, where I detail my daily life. I purchased a GoPro for my motorcycle helmet that I'll also use for vlogging and adventures, Fishing trips, travel, shopping, cooking... Planning a tomahawk steak video soon... And maybe I'll do some live piano and guitar music videos My wife is encouraging me. The only thing stopping me is I'm retired, and don't want to do a second career. My wife is young but I'm an old man, happily retired. Maybe she can do a KZbin channel?

@@CaioFran I should have suspected! Those Russian words that I don't usually see written are always elusive to me. Imagine my surprise when I found out "Хорошо" had 3 "o"s. ))

Alina, você já tem um CPF. Basta consultar o serviço fiscal (receita federal do Brasil) e consultar o seu CPF. Você é cadastrada ao entrar no Brasil

Dear Alina - thank so much for such a nostalgic ride - made this leg years ago when visiting my friend in Flo - I just took my long-haul bus from Asuncion, so it took a bit longer. But I like so much to travel in SA by these long liners, even through it takes more than 12h flight to get first to Sao Paulo. But it's so professional business and all these double deckers are just suberb. The longest ride I took some years ago was from SP to Lima with Ormeno bus, it took over 5 days but was definitely worth of it...

It once took me 13 hours to from Curitiba to Floripa (due to roadwork and holiday traffic), I would have loved to be in a bus like that! Make sure you check out the Mercado Municipal since you're in the Florianópolis city center, they have super fresh seafood.

13 hours!? My God. Usually it takes 12 hours to get from Florianópolis to Londrina at the north of PR.

I once took *EIGHT HOURS* to go from São Paulo to São Vicente (on the coast, next to Santos) by car. That's just 80 km and would normally take just an hour and a half (counting the traffic within the city before taking the road). It was New Year's Eve and I saw the year change at midnight while I was still descending the slopes of Serra do Mar. We left at 5:30 PM and only arrived in São Vicente at 1:30 AM! Later I read that *2 MILLION* cars were going down to the coast at that time! I swore that I'd never do that again.

Cool that 30 years back at least Chile, Argentina and Brazil had those super comfy sleeper buses. Even hot lemon towels for "departure". Alas no wifi back then!

I love Guarana! I grew up in Rio, and vendors used to walk up and down Copacabana Beach, selling it, calling out, "Guarana!". I've forgotten how to speak Portugues, which is so weird to me.

What a way to enjoy going from one place to another. That bus was a dream come true, I have seen you travel by bus many times, but this is in another class and you deserved the upgrade you took. When I see you flash your smile, then we know that everything is OK with you. We are glad you took that way to travel, I think we could soak up that trip with no problem. Enjoy your stay there, looking forward to what is coming our way from you, never get tired of seeing and sharing with you, Alina!!! Stay safe and enjoy. Cheers!! 💗👍😊🏆
