For the compost, if you mix green (grass cutting, leaves, etc.) with brown (tatami straw, wood chips, etc.), your compost will be hotter, compost faster, and there will be less insects. I suggest you mow the lawn and mix it in with the partially composted straw to finish the compost. But do make sure to not let it get too dry - you need it a little damp to get the compost going.

The hard work and technical skills are excellent, and many of the others are left to the traders. Be careful of centipedes, snakes, and cockroaches flying in. Even if you make a crop, it will be taken by animals. 頑張りと技術力が素晴らしい、他の人達は業者に任せたものが多い。 ムカデや蛇の出没、ゴキブリが飛んで来るのは注意が必要です。 作物を作っても、動物に取られる。

ありがとうございます!飛んでくるゴキブリは恐いですね!!ww はじめての古民家暮らし、田舎暮らしなので、楽しくもあり苦労もいろいろありますね...😳 That's right... Cockroaches flying in!!😂😂I really scared of that!! It's our first time to live in this kind of old house, and to live in the countryside. So tt's both fun and a struggle!

It's kinda sad because this was someone else's life now reduced to a bunch of garbage bags. But then the house itself will have a new life again.
