I think Alireza is among the very rare players that nowadays are still playing with a purely tactical style. Even Carlsen has turned to positional Chess... That's why Alireza can beat all these +2700 talented players who got used to positional battles that include simple tactical tricks. Alireza reminds me a bit of Tal who always got his opponents confused and not able to settle on a positional position by forcing them (through imbalacing purposely the positions) into difficult tactical battles...

At 7:00 I don't like Nd5 one bit, you're removing a defensive piece (the knight) and should the white-square bishop take it, that bishop wasn't really doing anything. You exchange an active defender for an inactive attacker, probably better to go Bf8 and address the bishop attacking the king's diagonal while leaving the knight protected by the queen.
@aleksandaraleksandrov4125 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes, that was not a good move, what do you think of ,, Bd6-f4,,? I am not sure,but looks good at first.I think exchange at this stage would be good for Jobawa, he sets his other peaces free from this stranglehold and becomes more space, and he would not loose his bishop just because of a lack of space, which is the main reason to loose the game.And may be even after that move of his three pieces on that same diagonal will be taken for free from Jobava, because he must take his rook on c1 away, but then comes this as we previous manage to be a bad move, but now,,Nd5!,,, . Firouzja looses his knight or when he take him away, then his bishop is out and then Jobava would win the game beautifuly , because Firouzja has too many pieces on that diagonal at that moment.

did this guy have something to do with the London Jobava system ?
@Pacalolo045 жыл бұрын
It was named after him. He made it fashionable after a famous game where he crushed Ponomariov in that line. But don't call it "the London Jobava System;" that's just the name Simon Williams gave it to make himself somewhat original. Everybody else knows it as "the Jobava Attack". It is of course the Jobava Attack within the London System. But you say “the Jobava Attack” and everyone will know what you’re talking about. Say it the Williams way and people might doubt.
@yes65465 жыл бұрын
My doubt mr.Jobava at time 7.52 from he start check using knight continues 4 time check , As per rule book continues how many times continue check will be goes to game winning or draw match?? I don't know rules from rule book. Just doubt only. 7.52 to 8.02 time limit.
@aserlongas98195 жыл бұрын
Just if the checks force repeating the same position (possition repeated 3 times= draw) but it doesn't matter how many checks you make if possition keeps on changing, like in this game. When someone is winning he should be aware not only of checkmates, but also of possibles continuous checks from the rival.
