In this opening, the Nimzoindian, once Black has doubled White's pawns on the queenside, he tries to attack the c4 pawn by playing Nc6 and Na5, Ba6, c5, and after taking on d4, his queen is also attacking c4. It's in lots of old games.

@@marcweeks9178 What does white play once Black plays Nc6? Let's say white plays Bg5, and then what? Black plays Nd7. White can then play d5, black plays Na5, white plays Bh3, and black plays Ba6. What Black does from move to move would depend on White's moves. You asked me why he moved his queen, and I told you.
