Reimage Steam Deck with via USB (with or without losing user data!)

I spent so, so, so long getting my Deck set up the way i wanted it. Spent months, and I mean months, getting all the artwork in Emudeck/Emulation Station the way I wanted. In the Arcade section alone i had over 300 individual overlays painstakingly placed in Retroarch. All my roms, artwork, bios etc are on my 1TB Micro SD, so thats a bonus BUT all the programs are on my Deck. My Deck is def needing a re-image though.. Steam games are running at 10-15fps not matter what I do and I have tried everything, including all the suggestions Valve gave me via support. I just cant face going through it all again but i know it gas to be done. 😭

This just does not work for me, after I click the usb drive on the deck it has 7 failures pop up and then just doesnt work.

I have the nothing works to activate the reimage steam deck button option even the right trigger. If i take the usb stick to put a mouse, it undoes everything.

In a bad spot, i follow all the steps, when the deck restarts and i remove the usb, it just stays at the deck logo and doesnt give me the language options etc :(

Is this any different from the casual reset Option in the steam Os System ?
