Alison Arngrim sits down with me to talk about being known as the bully in her acting career and how it launched her one woman show and her New York Times best selling book titled "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch, How I survived Nellie Oleson and learned to Love being Hated. Alison had a rough upbringing in real life, we will discuss her feelings that it was difficult to have fame at such a young age (11), how she overcame an abusive childhood marked by physical violence and incest. Alison has accepted the role of activist, serving as Board Member and Spokesperson for The National Association to Protect Children (PROTECT.org). Alison recently testified before the CA State Senate in support of Senate Bill 145 by Sen. Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills), which would raise the maximum penalty for the most egregious child pornography offenders. Her compelling testimony helped to secure the votes necessary to pass the legislation. I will talk with her about my father and how he could have been Michael Landon's doppleganger. We will also talk about her coming to the Working Women's Show in St Charles February 16th-18th.
