I'm born and raised in the hoods of Boston. Made Men was a legitimate gang when i was in highschool. They legit wore durags and flags for this dude. Most of us thought Benzino was corny, but he had a lot of dudes out here repping. It didnt last very long. I got friendly with some people in his camp when I was in the local industry. They talked mostly about how much Heroin they sold until they all got fucked up on it. The influence truly died with that. This was at the height of the dope epidemic in Boston in the late 90s/early 2000s. Boston never truly claimed this dude. And we pretend he never existed now.

You got the timelines all wrong. In October 2002 Benzino did the freestyle at Hot97 over Nas's Made You look beat and the same diss he said in that freestyle he used in his song I Don't Wanna. Then Eminem called in to Hot97 when G-Unit was hosting it, and Eminem dissed Benzino and his song. Benzino then did the song Pull Your Skirt Up and Eminem responded with the songs Invasion, The Sauce, Nail In The Coffin and Obie Trice responded with Welcome To Detroit City. Benzino then responded with Die Another Day December 2002. Then in January 2003 Benzino released his mixtape Benzino Presents Round 3 Die Another Day Flawless Victory that has the song Better Lose Yourself and many others on it and in February 2003 Eminem responded with Go To Sleep and all those other diss tracks back forth followed
