I lived in Va Beach, I remember Magoo was booed in Va. He went on the radio and said it hurt to be booed in his hometown. He said he was done then, Timbaland and everybody tried to convince him not to. I never understood all the hate he received.

In Magoo's defense, he actually did an interview this year explaining things. 1. He got stuck in the "he sounds like Q-Tip" conversation. He can't help that that's his natural speaking voice. Same can be said about Desiigner and Future or Fabolous and Mase. 2. He explained why he "dumbed down" his lyrics. That was to stand out. There's a bunch of lyrical miracle rappers, it all comes down to do you want to be respected or do you want to make money?
