Amazing video as always. They are always entertaining and informative. The best thing about your lessons is that you demonstrate the wrong and the right way to prove your point.

Thanks to one of your previous videos on a similar topic, I recently started moving my trail foot back to correct my fade, and the results were remarkable. I was able to place the ball straight down the middle of the fairway consistently and gained upwards of 15-20 yards on my drive. More importantly, I was better able to predict my shot trajectory and place the ball in better positions for my subsequent shots. Thanks again!

Thanks Ali. I have recently been working on a nasty slice, and I now have that more or less under control doing what you suggested with that inside out swing direction (the back foot hint really does work), but every now and then I to tend to have one of those low hooky shots come through that doesn't travel far at all (plus I am usually under the trees). One of the key things I have taken from your video is straightening that lead leg. Thanks heaps for the content, always easy to understand, and very helpful.

Just saw this yesterday for the first time…now I’ve watched it three times👍..I’m 65 years old, a 9 handicap and play from the senior tees. I’m playing this Monday (Memorial Day)..if I can gain just 40 yards I’ll be accused of using an illegal driver or ball👍 my driver ball flight is what you started the video out with..low then roll for 30 to 50 yards, or its a high strong fade…my problem is I don’t know when I’m going to hit either one so I generally just tee off with my 3 or 5 woods. I lose distance but I’m consistently in the fairway and not in trouble. I can’t wait to give this a try tomorrow 👍😎..you explained it very well..I hope I can replicate your instructions 🏌️♂️⛳️

Great video. The little nugget I can take from this is path going left as you hit more up on it. Exactly what i'm seeing right now. Good launch conditions but a few yards of cut in the ball flight. Will definitely try pulling the trail foot back next time i'm at the range

Great tips! Your description of that player that slices it right is me 100%. I feel that piece about throwing the left leg back a bit might help. Will definitely give that a go in my next practice session! Cheers from Canada!

Perfect! The best demonstration why someone slice the ball and how to correct it. Thank you

Another great video, Ali. I tried this to some success but the slice is still occurring occasionally with the ball curving right. What should be the state of club head direction at address. I have a strong grip but not sure if I should keep the club head closed or aligned with the target line (or should the reference be the swing direction?). Thanks

Thanks...I think that hitting the driver and staying within yourself, good impact and follow through is better for distance and control. Speed will come when the base is stable and legs are strong enough to keep your balance....As you put years into the game with No Bad Habits, I believe you will see gains and distance....Thanks....

I just saw this a few weeks ago. Have hit some great drives. Could you do a video with all this and more information about the setup?? Down the line view and how far to have trail foot back. Are you closing your stance or closing your body to the target line as well?

Will try this tomorrow, normally hit off a white T will up it to a pink or orange, could be well up in the air😂

Greetings; I have noticed in a number of your videos emphasized shoulder position etc for striking upward on driver/down on irons but only one some time past shows the Great 😃 use of white powder spray 3 inches behind, 1 inch in front depending on club. Would you please do more on this. I would view it with much appreciation. Thanks, John Maxwell -kingsland, Ga. USA

Love that. I am a slicer that hits a long high shot that usually ends up to the right of the next fairway. I know I try to smash it and hope the slower swing speed with my right leg back can allow me to play the same hole as my partners

I'm close to scratch and have very good club control, but have always struggled hitting up on my driver. I've tried just about everything, but the only thing that helped me was laying a water bottle a foot in front of the ball (towards the target) and just swinging and trying to miss the bottle. Also don't need any swing thoughts, just don't hit the bottle. Your body will figure it out on its own how to do it.

Hey Ali, I tee my Driver a litter high but i hit my ball over a 5 story building high. I tried to put tee down a little but still hit sky high with slight slice not a total slice, i am gettiing 240 245 yds. but way to high and not to solid.... Even my irons i hit sky high.

Hi Ali Great advice once again. You have improved my game. Question and potential future video. With driver do you see any benefit in standing straighter and reducing the distance between your body and the ball ? Would this produce a straighter ball flight ? Thanks Mark Davis

There is no problem hitting a driver level, as long as you have the correct loft for that swing.
@dyllanlong14392 жыл бұрын
It might be different being there in person, but that's mad that swing was 110mph... looked like nothing... I swing in-to-out, and hit up, but struggle stopping shaft lean... so still end up with shots similar your first ones... any fixes for that?

I definitely feel I have a lot of wasted effort with my driver swing. I can generate decent swing speed (110) & ball speed (155ish) but rarely get past 250. My attack angle hovers between -2 to +2. Dispersion is a two-way miss & very inconsistent.

I struggled with my driver and lost confidence. Watched a video and now place the ball about 4 inches behind the ball. Tee up high and hitting the longer and straight than I’ve ever been. 210 carry can’t wait for summer to see how far it goes. Not bad for a 54 year old

@@jvelez1998 I agree. But he sees his other country mates like Peter Finch and Rick Shiels absolutely getting amazing views and he's trying to keep up. But, you have to work up to that. You can't click bait up to that. He has to get out of his little golf ball hitting stall and get out on the course and interact with people and give us all something that entertains. I'm not knocking him at all but this is the truth. If this is all he wants to do then that's absolutely fine. I'll still watch every once in a while. Probably from a clickbaity title. If you want to kill it with views, you have to have a big, engaging personality that people are drawn to naturally. I feel like Ali, is just more of a laid back teacher. And that's ok.
