Notes:
- wanted to skew towards the moody boards Disney did for hunchback, not sure it was a success but its fun
- I think the middle bit might have been paced too fast to be understandable, at this point I've got no idea anymore
- the transformation is partly homage to the idea in the book that the reason for the young and twisted nature of Hyde is because of Jekyll's undeveloped evil side, also partly because I wanted to draw both versions HA TAKE THAT UNIVERSE
- I was trying to emulate pencils digitally, and its hard without a tilt sensitive tablet. The closest I got on CSP was with the gouache brush, it did the job, in combo with two other brushes haha
- this took... 7 days, which translates to about 50 hours, including script / planning. Its relatively short and not much happens so there's that, it just needed to get out I suppose

Oh man that's SO WACK how Hyde is just this boogeyman almost looking thing (terrifying btw, thanks) and the moment he screams his name, it's like he becomes real. Masterful, GLORIOUS

Holy shit. It immediately gave the feel of a Disney/professional storyboard and if i hadn't read the description i definitely would've thought this was all hand drawn!

So can we appreciate how they drew Hyde? Uncompleted and not human in the beginning, incredibly *new*, and unformed. But at the end he's now human and formed, *completed*, makes you wonder if its bc the serum took full affect.... Or killing that guy trigger some wolf in sheep's clothing survival instinct in Hyde

The book also describes Hyde in a weird way, that people "feel like he's deformed" despite not having any visible deformities, you could interpret it as the more feral Hyde is what people see out the corner of their eye while the more human Hyde is what they see when they have a good look at him.

Of all the animatics I've seen, this one by far has my favorite Mr Hyde! He's bizarre and twisted, he's human but still animalistic; he's really scary, just the way i imagined when i read the book

ahhhh! this is so cool! I saw another comment abt Hyde almost becoming human when he says his name, but I got a bit different vibe from it. Hyde kills and so he finally takes form. I don't think killing is what fully realizes Hyde as a person, but doing smth so permanent, so unfixable (so he's now left an unchangeable mark on the world ig?) is what rlly "brings him to life". idk if that's what you intended but that's what it felt like to me! super cool in general! esp Hyde running around, it felt pretty fluid to me. amazing job! also pre human Hyde is my new sleep paralysis demon T-T

This is so cool!!! I love how Hyde is dancing with the cane and his stick before killing his victim, it really shows how demented and evil he is, he sees this whole thing as a game! Great symbolism and well done!

Oooh you managed to make this scene really creepy! I Love all the different camera shots and the added camera movement! Also I enjoy how you Made Hyde very small! If I remeber correctly in the book Jekyll Said that Hyde was smaller and different looking than him because He hadn't spent much time indulging in decadent/Bad urges ( though i might be misremembering it's been a while) And the transformation of Hyde, him becoming more "finished" the more He explores His new self, is just great.

This is criminally underrated wth!!! I adore the pacing and the changes of perspective, specially in the second half, where all becomes more erratic and feels the same as Hyde, who is now free, and it SHOWS! Loved every second of it and I'm definitely checking out the rest of your animations

it’s been *years* since I last heard this song and - wow this is incredible!! i’d forgotten just how much i adored that ending verse! the pencil-sketchiness of the whole video gives off an incredibly menacing vibe; Hyde’s design rules - what a lil gremlin!; the composition and choreography of… everything here is just great. guess it’s time for me to go blast this song on repeat again!

Hyde at the beginning is so creachur and you did a fantastic job of that (I think someone else described him as boogeyman Hyde, and, yeah) and the transformation to… very alive Hyde? Anyway!! Hyde is just having a great time and you did a really good job with it!!!! All the love!! Great song choice, great art!!! And, like, poor random dude (I think he’s just a random dude?) but also.
