Notes:
- now I remember what I used to write in these notes! (the struggles)
- did you know if you turn Clip Studio EX to camera mode, cam renders much faster, life is so much better now
- I'm trying to solidify the perspective of each shot hence the many perspective grids
- at the beginning I tried doing some glass fracturing inserts like a comic of other characters in the chorus bit but it was kinda tacky so scrapped that
- some of the flow is weird like when the dad gets up from the couch and walks away, part of me wants it for the effect like repeating an impactful action, but part of me thinks its unnecessary
- I might also need to clarify that the dad is going around the corner at the stairs area
- I wasn't sure what to do with the shadow part but I wanted to draw shadows lol
- this was 6 days? let's be generous and call that 50-60 hours
- ALSO doing wider screen format is pretty freeing, there's so much space!
- this might be the last one in a while, things get busy starting tomorrow

Ohh I love this song I really like your character designs, Henry especially. The shapes are just very nice I also like Lisas expression at the 'straight ahead' line, she seems very determined in this scene And great subtitles as usual haha

The character concept art is 👌💯 This is a difficult song to animate with all the interloping melodies but you did a fantastic job showing the emotions of each character.

This is gorgeous!!!!!! Also, Jekyll in the first scene is just. He’s so down :( and looks very Hyde-y at points? Esp, like, 0:34 Anyway!!!! Just!!!! Fantastic job again!!!!! Is that just a cabinet at the end, with the cane and bloody stuff? And was the corpse Jekyll was backing away from in horror at 3:25 the same dude Hyde killed in the last animatic, or? ALSO good job making Jekyll and Hyde The Same Guy But Different! AND his cut hand from the broken glass!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it wasn't the same guy, he pushed that one down to the river oop- its multi-murder time. i recall from the book he hid a bunch of hyde's stuff away in a different house somewhere so here it is as a cabinet. yup! broken glass 👀

yup this is all Clip Studio EX, its pretty decent all in one program for animatics (as long as you're not too tween-heavy), and you like to lean into more painterly brushes - thats what it excels at imo

@@sealbatross Yeah,I’ve kinda wanted to see how it would’ve been pictured as a possible scene from a movie…As a matter of fact in the Wikipedia of The Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde musical there was a film for the musical actually planned..however due to certain circumstances the film is still in constant delayments…However..with your animatics of the musical…I can definitely see an animated film for The Jekyll and Hyde Musical with some of your animatics giving a bit of production previews…However I kind of picture Dr.Jekyll as a blonde like in another animatic scene of the musical..”Lucy meets Jekyll”…and Mr.Hyde as a noirette boogeyman as you animated in the beginning of the “Alive Reprise”…
