Badcock Home Furniture & More is an American chain of over 380 company and dealer owned furniture stores in eight states across the southeastern United States that was founded by Henry Stanhope Badcock in 1904 in Mulberry, FL. Robert B. Burnette is president of Badcock Home Furniture & More and previously served as chief operating officer for the company. The 380 Badcock Home Furniture & More stores are and soon to be were in eight states: Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.
In December 2023, it was announced that Conn's had completed its purchase of the company.
On July 24, 2024, Conn's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Texas, listing assets and liabilities of between $1 billion to $10 billion. The next day, on July 24, 2024, it was reported that Conn's was in the process of winding down and closing all of its nearly 600 Conn's and Badcock locations, with liquidation sales expected to be complete by October 31, 2024.

As I understand it Conn's was basically a bottom feeder, selling overpriced furniture to lower income people at high interest rate credit. If Badcock had been the same way, it (and Conn's) won't be missed.

Badcock sold heirloom american hardwood furniture on revolving credit with one of the lowest interest rates in retail credit. I can assure you Conn's and Badcock were nothing alike.

@@R32R38 Watch the video. FRG made the all stock trade for the Badcock brand to Conns. Badcock had very little say or control in the matter.
