I am American and I'm watching this movie to help myself with learning how to speak Spanish. This movie is so compelling. I cant stop watching it.

I just wanted to watch some Spanish movies with English subtitles for learning. I wanted a movie that would run on the background, while I would do some chores on my PC. Instead, I focused on the movie completely. This really takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. I hope there are now more nurses in Mexico and I hope that the domestic violence rate has gone down.

@agathapoirot53735 жыл бұрын
@@douglasw1545 There is also femicide (or feminicide) To go from opinion to fact, read reports by the WHO (World Health Organization); also, find the facts pertaining to violence against women in Mexico. By the way, do you know what is the terminology used when women kill their male partners?
@agathapoirot53735 жыл бұрын
@@SIPEROTH You are absolutely right; on the other hand, violence against women by their male partner is more prevalent than violence by women against their male partner. Factual reports abound on this topic on Mexico and the rest of the world.
@SIPEROTH5 жыл бұрын
@@agathapoirot5373 Actually reports of violence in couples etc show that violence between couples is actually quite equally distributed in most developed countries. Let's also not forget that men have the tendency to not accept or acknowledge violence being done against them by a woman as a matter of pride and not wanting to appear weak and the more primal a society is the more a man will not acknowledge such a thing. A mexican man will acknowledge getting beaten by his female partner a lot harder than a Swedish guy will.

This is one of the most disturbing and moving documentaries you'll ever see. But I wish they would focus more on the alcohol which seems to be the common denominator in every single one of the abusive relationships. We need to declare war on alcohol. It doesn't belong in any home, any restaurant, any entertainment venue. If you can't enjoy your life without alcohol you truly need help. When you identify the trigger (alcohol) its far easier forgiving the abuser and helping the abuser. With forgiveness comes peace. Then they can move forward.
