ALIYA CYCON demoing the Multioud Ambiance Nylon Natural HG

The Godin MultiOud Ambiance is a modern update on an ancient instrument. Equipped with the Fishman Aura Pro preamp, amplifying this instrument in a live setting is no longer a problem. Here is Berklee grad, Aliya Cycon giving her impressions of the Multioud as well as playing some traditional pieces on the instrument.

Lovely instrument. I feel sure that Godin could produce a very good Cretan Lute ( Laouto) in the same idiom. The sound of this Oud is beautiful as is the choice of woods and craftsmanship. Truly Superb!

Not easily. It's hard to get consistent sound with your fingernails having to pluck two strings.

Please Godin makers , we need an Instrument wich is similar to the orginal one ! Your oud is great I played it but it dosent look like an Oud !! And keys are guitar keys also Please look at the turkish versions of electric ouds they are very similar to the orginal one !

I also have gudin oud , in mu opinion it sound far far away from tone am searching for , it doesn’t sound like a god authentic acoustic oud and not fully electric either which has more power and sharp sound , the best thing is to change the pickup and the pre and fill the empty hall in it , at least you’ll have an full electric oud , ill try it as the option befire i sell it

Do not buy this Oud! I bought one 3 years ago. It developed a fault with an earthing hum. My luthier contacted Godin and they want £500 plus shipping plus delivery for a new system. It’s Only afew months out of warranty. Never been played out if my home studio. Terrible customer service. Don’t waste your money. I used to think Godin a reputable company. But will never buy from them again.

Good instrument with a beginner performer: she's ruining the melodies with her wrong pitches and out of meter performance. Oriental music requires a minimum of understanding to this special language.
