The thought that radical islamists are able to develop a lot of nukes scares me. Why would it not scare the US administration ? The US Military is in the middle east not just because the oil. I actually believe that the primary reason is that the west is afraid of what may happen if radical islamists get control of major oil resources there and thus have the financial means to get them some nukes to attack the west with. I agree with mr Flynn that this is a frightening perspective that motivates radical means. I also agree that the US use to little diplomacy and too much military hardware to succeed. I hope the russians will do it much better since they actually understand foreign cultures like the US does not. The west need to trust Putin to achieve security. Kind of funny IMO... :-)

Hans Lundberg the Russians are no better at dealing with the Middle East either lol Look at how they handle their invasion of Afghanistan. Don’t get me wrong the U.S is no better and is handling this whole situation very badly but at the end of the day the U.S government and European governments don’t really want to fix the Middle East.
@staffanlundberg5 жыл бұрын
@@alliearscott3978 "Look at how they handle their invasion of Afghanistan." The Soviet Union did not invade Afghanistan. Like in Syria they were invited by the local regime that was under pressure because USA supported islamic terrorist groups to destroy the regime. But in Afghanistan the russians lost . In Syria Putin use another strategy that includes some cooperation with USA and as Russia no longer is a communist state the US work with the russians to some degree in Syria.

This is not a religious war or a clash of civilizations. You might just have a warped view of the world. You don't want to arrived at the boring fact that's your country and your people are in it for money are in it for political gain and are in it for natural resources. It's more noble to believe that the United States are fighting a war against and ideology and the war against an evil force. But that's not the case whatsoever.

A quiet triumph for those who have always wanted accountability for actions taken in Iraq / Afghanistan and the world we live in as a result of those actions. No matter which country you live in, we should all want that accountability from our governments - because it's the people on the street, any street, that reap what has been sown by those we've put in office. The U.S government is to blame for a lot of what’s going on in the Middle East and in my opinion does not really care for stability of the region at all. But let’s no forget that the real reasons for all this violence and conflicts go way back to the early 1900s and how The British Empire, France etc.. handle the region after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. By making these random borders without truly working with all the different ethnics groups and people’s in the Middle East. To understand situation and should’ve let the people in the Middle East decide how the borders should be drawn and Britain, France should’ve acted as mediator between the different factions and make sure it would of gone fairly and every one was somewhat satisfied. That’s the real root of all these conflicts we see today, and the U.S just came in half cocked thinking it could do any better and just made it worse. But at the end of the day the U.S didn’t start everything going wrong in the Middle East today.

So if he'd let him talk for more than 10 seconds we would now be better informed about his ideas being part of Trumps administration.

+billsf94131 Well done. I could only manage 10 minutes. Medhi never fails to blame the West and never Islamic teachings. Who the hell is he to say that ISIL is following the wrong interpretation of Islam. Their just following it literally, which is what Muhammed expected of every Muslim.
@sarakhader7299 жыл бұрын
+spex76com It's saddening to read your comment. When you say they are literally following Islam in the same breath you are also saying that the rest of us muslims who are peaceful are actually not following Islam. You have a wrong interpretation of our religion.
@spex769 жыл бұрын
You always hear Muslim apologists say Islam means peace. That's utter nonsense, it means surrender or submission. There will be peace (salam) when everyone submits to Allahs will. The most quoted sura is 5-32 ' ...if anyone killed a person, it would be as if he had killed the whole of mankind ', and no one ever mentions the whole verse. It was being applied to the Jews (Children of Israel). The Muslims were allowed to kill anyone considered an enemy of Islam, be it a kuffar or someone considered a heretic. You,ve either got to stop lying or burying your head in the sand about your faith.

This lack of knowledge and understanding at such a senior command level of the US Armes Forces shows the world is currently in a most precarious place.

@@thachhuynh4262 Listening to it again, I fail to understand how this ex-general doesn't even seem to know or care that ISIL was trained, armed and backed up by CIA contractors in Syria and still is today; churning the pot and manufacturing more terrorists to be able to use if deemed necessary or to oppose at will. Talk about creatures of the swamp! It's sad to see a system so degenerate, so rotten to the core, that has now become a terrible blight upon humanity.

This should be an opportunity for him to get exposed for his failures; however, the real punishments have to be given to these wrong-doers (just like these Americans when they went out of their way and killed the Iranian top general a year or so before who also did wrong things, killing people unnecessarily! It is an irony these Americans swift in handing punishments to their opponecessnet's key figures, and yet turning a totally blind eye on their own when they do the same crimes!

@AG-qo6oi8 жыл бұрын
In which case do you mean Islamism not Islam? I would say consensus amongst a vast majority of muslims does in fact define who is representative of Islam. Are they representative of Islamism? Well, they're certainly taking things at a literal level and trying to force Sharia law in their territory. Unfortunately i think its safe to say they are definitely representative of Islamism albeit a very strict and violent representaton
@calderon5518 жыл бұрын
Yes, ISIS represents something from Islam and not entirely because they have some hidden agenda ( I believe) that follow and it is not religious at all. Maybe one day all will be known.

Isis is formed of remnants from Saddam’s Ba’ath party combined with Al Queda adherents, the most sadistic militants in the Middle East. Al Queda itself is formed from Mujahideen who were supported by US to fight USSR, and Saudi Arabia to oppose Iran-backed insurgents. There was insufficient respect for the potential of betrayal in such insurgents.
