I think rebuttals from the first opposer wasn't that strong, he just mentioned countering examples to dilute mehdi's arguments. I didn't see intricate analysis as to why the West shouldn't cut ties. In this debate, the problem that needed to be addressed is the alleged cases of human rights abuses by Saudi government. Which side does force Saudi government to respect fundamental rights of humanity. Opposition ought to have stated reasons as to why even cutting ties will not change the situation and infact give analysis why when West isolate Saudi, things might even go worse.
