Thanks to Al Jazeera for the interview and Thanks to Chancellor Álvarez for such an excellent presentation. The Chancellor's answers are true, clear and accurate; He has briefly described verifiable historical aspects of the “deep differences” between the two nations into the same small island, which is why the Dominican Republic has insisted that there is no Dominican solution to the perpetual crisis of the Haitian people. The “integrated” Haitian nation must help itself and then external goodwill will be taken advantage of.

👏 Roberto Alvarez, 👏 Lucia Newman. Excellent interview to clarify important and specific points that had been misinformed around the world. The Chancellor, a professional, well prepared and knowledgeable about the history of our Dominican Republic, explained objectively and with easily verifiable historical FACTS, the differences between the two countries. As a sovereign nation, we have the right to protect our boundaries, enforce immigration laws, and prioritize the well-being of our people first as is done everywhere in the world. The definitive solution to the problems of this neighboring nation is not in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to Lucia Newman for your professionalism and the opportunity for an official voice of our country to be heard in such an important medium.
