The cerimony didn't reflect the French culture. It was embarrassing and cringy. It was a bad taste mixture of TV Trash + Eurovision Song Context + a Gay Pride Parade. It did show outmost respect for some sub-cultures and openly insulted what is sacred and important to the majority of French. All paid with taxpayers 'money.
