Why isn't the world keeping

Five years ago, the Sudanese youth were able to garner the world’s sympathy and support during their revolution. Since then, it has turned into a devastating war, which has led to one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.
But today, the country is receiving little to no coverage and support. Many are asking: "Why? And what can be done about it?"

Simple! The war in Sudan is off the radar because both fighting sides are of no monetary benefit to superpowers. The same applies to Gaza. Israel, on the other hand, is the focus because it's the 51st US state.

Speaking for myself of course, I'm very newly awakened to the world around me. Its taken a large amount of energy and brain power to understand the situation in Palestine and its many evolving challenges. I would like to carve out the time necessary to learn and understand all histories and situations that bring us to the world today because our struggles are interconnected and our freedoms are only complete when we are free together. I will try to do better to pay attention, to become educated, and use my voice wherever it is needed. I know what it feels like to be alone in the world and it breaks my heart that there are so many of us who don't get the support we need.

@ruthcollins2841 The conflict is in Sudan, the fight is between the military and paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces which is also a militia group. Most of the civilians are staying out of the conflict. The ordinary people were not expecting the war to last this long considering it could've ended months ago and needs to end. Sudan was trying to set up a civilian government following all the Pro Democracy protests right before the war broke out in April of last years. Which makes me wonder why would the war break out if the country was going to set up a civilian government? Btw, South Sudan is a different country. They are not at war and have been receiving a lot of their own South Sudanese citizens who were living in Sudan and Sudanese refugees too.
