We Asians are not educated. We are well trained like dogs. We lack creativity, innovation and inspiration. I learned this after I went to the UK to study engineering. Students over here have such open minded approach. They think differently. They follow study with such passion. It is simply because they made their own life choices. They are more confident and have exceptional personal skills. They are already grown ups when they leave for uni. While we Asians are still awkward teenagers who grew up under strick parents. They also kind of steered our choices to study engineering. This is not the way to grow talents. Real talent will always flourish further and shine over any hard working Asian plebs. (with only a handful of exceptions) A certificate will only open up the job doors for you. The real success comes from your own vital life skills and real education.

When Al Jazeera first documented these students 10 years ago, Pranav Prince said he wanted to become a scientist and open a research center in India. And now, he is a management consultant, happy to work abroad and contribute to a foreign country. Research in India is out of the window. Also , he spoke exclusively in hindi in those first interviews, but now he speaks fluently in english.

I am proud of India. There are many callous people, callous because they have to survive in a tough world, not callous because they choose to be. Then there are some who join Super-30, Rahamani-30, Magadh-30 and get opportunities to compete at a higher level, use their intellect beyond what they would have been able to given their humble backgrounds. Like Abhayanandji said, even if 50% of these intellectuals contribute back to the Super-30 or similar social groupings - India will continue to thrive and make me even prouder, every single day. A lot of respect for the teachers, the students and the philanthropists who help make this possible.

India has huge population which poses certain challenges for government to lift people out of poverty. But the huge population has a positive side as well; such a population means there are more geniuses and problem solvers hidden in it than anywhere else in the world - statistically, India has more people with potential to change the world than any other country. Digging these people out is what this is all about. Impressive efforts such as these must be encouraged. Well done!
