As a organic chemistry and biochemistry educational content creator, I love seeing the stylistic and creative approuches crash course has been taking with *Organic Chemistry* so from one nerd, to another. Thank you so much
@RalphDratman4 жыл бұрын
I'm not a chemist, but my impression is that the hands-on-molecule discussion here could help a future organic chemist navigate reaction rates and activation energies at least partly by intuition. Silicon chemistry naturally takes a lot of this into account by numerical analysis, Monte Carlo methods, relaxation and so forth, but getting it into the chemist's mind could be valuable, I'd think, in planning a synthesis or estimating which way a reaction would run.

Thank you soo much . At high school I never really understood Newman projections and torsional strain because I couldn't visualise these . Due to that I was struggling in college with more advanced topics like medical chemistry. This helped a lottt

These videos are amazing! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into them! I don’t know if people can request series, but I’ll put it out there anyways! I’d love to see one about languages and learning them at some point in the future. No rush though! Thank you!

Thank goodness this channel exists lol, was literally trying to piece through torsional strain earlier and this brushed me up on what I couldn't get with the Newman projections 👍

The energy-difference between the "totally eclipsed" vs. "anti" configurations is ~ 19kJ/mol 8:37. Does this mean that exposure to (far-infrared) light of wavelength 6um shall excite the "anti" molecules to a "totally eclipsed" state? (and that this molecule is transparent to light of shorter wavelengths?)

This is superb. The presenter is outstandingly clear and communicative. This really gives a feeling for some of the intuitive insights that organic chemists use to help them mentally navigate rates and activation energies beyond knowing mere numbers.
