I wish there were more ‘feminine’ options. As someone who’s very hyperfem I’d want my character to reflect that, but all the armors are very heavy looking with dark colors and the few that are bright are not really my taste. Where’s the pinks, whites, silver, lilac?

I'm legitimiately baffled as to WHY you can't dye them. Like, for the love of god, you gave us the ability to craft armour in the last game and go for specific colours, so why REMOVE that. It would be one thing if there was a better variety, but there's like 5 particular colour schemes you get whether you like it or not, and everything else is some variation of brown. Literally can't even get a black outfit in this game. I'm also just not particularly thrilled with 95% of the armours. There's a handful I like, but most of them at least on a female body look chunky clunky. And some of the ones I do like have capes I can't hide or get rid of that I don't like so much that I don't want to wear the armour. It'll be nice when mods start releasing recolours. I'd do it if I had time right now but I don't. Thank gawd I'm on PC lol.

I don't really understand why its so hard to add a color wheel shift to armor sets. Literally all you have to do is let the player shift hex values on the armor set as is, it opens the gate for some really awful looking combinations but also variety

Thank you for this video!!! A couple things I wish they did: 1. Make the collars (and feathers on certain outfits) stick up and protrude more, like in their icon/square. _Though I could also see that causing some clipping issues with hair, so kind of understand why they didn't do that._ 2. That you could enable hoods on outfits that have them. 3. That every helmet piece that's a hat or such didn't come with a mask over your characters face.

@@marzzattak I think I read somewhere on Reddit (after I made this comment) that your characters face shows if you don't have facial hair (which my first playthrough character did). Made a 2nd character that was a female Elf, and true enough, her face isn't covered with those kinds of helmet pieces.

You get it in act 3, I don’t want to give out too many spoilers so I’ll say it’s a late game cosmetic armor, you need to find three wolf statues to unlock the chest.

So, I'm not going to give to many spoilers either but there may be a prerequisite to this as well. I made sure I had the remnants quest done those wolf statues where you learn about Solas' past. After that towards the end of the game you're going to find yourself in an area with no combat and one possible chest. Find all the wolf statues there and you'll unlock the chest and the armor cosmetic as well! It sucks its so late stage in the game especially considering there is no NG+ but, it's not a bad suit to finish the campaign with.

Rebel's robe comes once you get every companion to Hero Status. You do this by completing their quests.

@ArtDeVore-d6u first tysm and second I did complete everyone's companion quests and got them to hero status except lucanis because I saved minrathous and not Treviso so how do you make lucanis a hero because I did complete his quest but because I didn't save Treviso he imprisoned his brother and he didn't get his outfit and hero status so how do u get him to hero status without saving Treviso as I thought no matter what you do every companion except neve and lucanis would become a hero so if you could say how you got both neve and lucanis to hero status even though one of their city's is destroyed then that would be much appreciated 👍 thank you del

​@@joethomas5055 It's been a minute since I unlocked it but, I destroyed Treviso too. As I understand it "affinity" has a big role to play in whether or not a character gets to Hero Status. I think affinity is also why I didn't receive the Rebel's Mantle because while yes, I got all the characters to hero status I didn't "complete" their quests as I'm sure I missed some of that stupid "limited conversation" dialogue the ones where once it's gone it'll never come back and those convos can be used to increase the bonds between rook and the companions. So, for me and that armor yes, the quests were done but I didn't "complete them" because their affinity wasn't as high as it could be I'm thinking I screwed up with necromancer guy because I let him become a lich instead of encouraging him to let go. Now to more directly answer your question. If memory serves, I was either at lvl 4 for Treviso, or I'd done enough of the available quests in Treviso (not the main quests but the city quests) that when I finished Lucanis' storyline I got level 4. So, if I had to guess I'd say the reason you didn't get hero for Lucanis is because his affinity wasn't high enough. So, you've really only got three choices. 1 reload far enough back and pay special attention to Lucanis and increasing his affinity. 2 reload to before you finished Lucanis questline and do all the quests specific to the city of Treviso after it's blighted and then finish his questline. Or 3 start the game over and just do your best to pick all the "good" choices for all the companions. I know they're not the best choices available to you, but one thing to look out for if you're not romancing Neve Lucanis will try and encouraging that might boost his affinity too. I hope this helps!

Ah I see so affinity might also play a part in it from what I understand not only does their affinity need to be high but also their bond for example when I completed the game and everyone's companion quests lucanis had a level 6 bond and with plenty of affinity I think 🤔 but I still didn't get the robe but I'm pretty sure that everyone's bond needs to be around 8 as that bond level is when Harding became a hero of the veil guard as well so I think what I'm gonna do is get his affinity and bond as high as possible and I'm also gonna complete all side quests especially Treviso ones as they appear to increase bond and get high affinity and I'm gonna do that by having lucanis in my party permanently from now on but also I'm pretty sure that the crows respect thingy needs to be at high level as well two star or above but I don't need to worry about that as I got three stars with the crows before wardens best friend as I wanted to get plumage of the mad crow you see and the grinding for things to sell drove me mad but is fine so I'll try doing everything possible and if all that doesn't work I will come back here for your wise wisdom🤔🤓 also if you could say if you found the deaths disciple appearance and where it'd be much appreciated 👍

@@joethomas5055 Sorry I made that confusing I was using the word bond and affinity interchangeably; I don't think there's an affinity system, I was referring to the bond system calling it affinity. So, I would just forget I said that word and focus on the Bond lvl's. But you hit the nail on the head. His bond needs to be as high as possible to unlock Hero status upon completion of his questline. It shouldn't matter how you end his questline so long as his bond is high enough, he'll get hero status. And yes, doing the quest missions for the city each companion is from should also increase the bond for said companion with the exception of Harding as she has no home city available to visit. As for death's disciple, if I'm remembering correctly, and I might not be, you should be able to find it here. Arlathan Crater - Forest Overlook (Blood of Arlathan Quest Chest). So, if you've completed this quest you might have to go back to an earlier save and make sure it's an open world quest and not an area locked quest. If it's open world you can go back to any save you want and just track your way through and open it, but if its area locked, you'll have to go back to an older save and do the quest over.

95% of these outfits are just plain awful. They are bland and boring. They were better off not showing the gear on your character, but they did give you a wardrobe feature so you can keep the glamour you want. I'll give credit where credit is due, but these outfits are just ugly. They need to take a lesson out of FFXIV's playbook on how you can still have stylish armor in a fantasy setting. I also agree with some of the other commenters that they should have allowed for dyeable gear. Changing the color scheme of these outfits could really make them pop.

If you do all the side quest...yes. A lot of cosmetics are by the shops and you need to max their level (4 iirc) and then any item you pick up unlocks that cosmetic look as well.

@@TESkyrimizerbrother… Inquisition’s armor was a variety of the same three armors with a handful of unique ones. DA2 only had 1 cool looking armor and that was Hawke’s armor. The only cool armor I can think of from Origins was the blood dragon armor but honestly it’s been a long time since I played that one so there could be more.

Honestly I just let my Rook run around in the starting/tutorial armor… it’s simple and rugged but so is he. A lot of the other stuff is so shiny/gaudy/huge and my lithe and nimble rouge can’t sneak around wearing that bulky shit :/ the designs ARE cool. I just don’t like any of them on my Rook haha

Its a reward from the mainstory quest A Cage for Gods, if I recall correctly you have to explore and find 3 fen'harel statues and interact with them to unlock the chest, its towards the end of the game

The Veil-touched Sentinel armor is apparently unobtainable as of right now. People haven't been able to get it via normal means even after maxing out stores and 100% all chests and puzzles, so they think it's bugged out. You can get the Arlathan's Fall variant by doing a statue puzzle, but it's during the last level of the game so you only get it for a while.

I can’t find any information on the statue puzzle you are talking about but that makes the appearance pointless if you can’t get it before the last mission then it’s not worth it at all

@@EternalSpinx it’s during the very final mission and it’s super easy to miss. I think you might also be able to get the appearance from the Veil Jumper’s store, but if I remember it’s 5k gold and you only get it after you max the store out, so it’s still a late game piece of cosmetics.

a little disappointed since in dev q&a they kept promising fashion is end game and while I like a lot of what's here there aren't nearly enough recolors and there are not enough feminine options. I was really hoping for _fashion_ I didn't care if it makes sense but there's plenty of ways to make fashion make sense. also I know one dev said there would be pink armor/such. I don't care for pink myself but the fact that just a month or two before the game came out comments aren't matching up with what's showing up in game... are things just not triggering or was fashion/armour cut last minute? or possibly they were working on additional content and got things mixed up? being close to release had to be very stressful. hopefully mods won't take as long as they did for inquisition though I doubt they will be happening any time soon.

Какой смысл было делать такое кол-во разных внешек доспехов, если они врят ли будут пользоваться популярностью...не понимаю и никогда не пойму наверное) Это как в Хогвартс Легаси. Напридумывали в игру кучу несуразных внешек, для чего - непонятно) Лучше бы уровень интересности сюжета поднимали и меньше повестки в игру пихали - успеха было бы больше.

The armor in this game is such a mess. There's only a couple of simple but beautiful armor designs. The rest is overdesigned crap with a million belts and pouches everywhere. The Nevarran color scheme looks clownish, their armor (aside from the full-plate) looks nonsensical. Also, it's impossible to find a good-looking helmet. I'm still wearing the pre-order tiara thing because the other helmets look goofy.
