If you level up your companions evenly there seems to not be enough missions to level them all to max level, especially the one with Hardened status. So pick the two companions you want to use in combat and take them to every mission to get the most skill points with them. The other compainions might have a lower approval level but as long as you do their companion and loyality missions you get the best ending for them.

Another tip, if you don’t want to constantly check if your companions have new dialogues look to see if the lanterns above their rooms are lit. If the lanterns are lit there’s new dialogue, if they aren’t then no.

I spent 20+ hours just to realized you HAVE to upgrade faction at their shop... I was thinking it would take ages to level up their store because it keep saying weak and thought I needed to max the exp bar of shop for each level...

Some valuables give you varying reputation. Like a Relic will give you +3 to everyone... Except Veilguard which gives you +15. I wouldn't go crazy with it. Just if you see a themed valuable, like Antivan Coffee (crows), Tome of the dead (Mournwatch), would sell to the ones that make sense.

The ravain Coast is NOT in the first hour of the game! That is totally false! I did not make the coast until around 15 hours in. This is doing all side quests.. also if you had done any side quests or just veered off the main path at all you would have found the wolf statue which the game explains and gives you a skill point in the first hour of the game. These are very basic tips that the game teaches you just for playing. Glad you were able to capitalize off of a mistakes video but the game literally teaches you all of this. Pretty smart move for the clickbait.

@@matthewmays1934 that's honestly not unusual. I've been playing similarly where I've been listening to conversations, doing all the quests, trying to get all the cheats and loot. It's a long ass game and it seems like all killer and no filler. You're always doing something but there's opportunities to just look at the scenery and read codexes etc.

@@Adam-z8z3f Yes sir! That's why I don't watch reviewers. I do like information videos but not stuff that the game literally tells you lol. I love Dragon Age I am 83 hours in and only on part 10. There is so much to do and it's the biggest action RPG single player story driven game I have ever played. Having a great time with it so far.

Some Legendries are not very good. Such as a bow that is minus 90% to regeneration. I can use it once during a fight and never be ready again for the entire rest of the fight, which is detrimental for a rogue class that is bow intensive. You get one hard hit and that's it. So I don't use it. Another thing I'm finding with companions is that even though their abilities are lit up ready to use, they don't activate except for the first time used in the fight. The only ones that activate regularly are the healing and time altering abilities. It sucks when you want your companions to throw in an attack ability, since letting them go normally, they are almost useless, like doing 1 point of damage each attack, meanwhile you're running around in circles because everything is converged on you practically the entire fight and you can barely get in an attack of your own, unless your specials are ready and that is extremely slow recharging.

Knew everything but that's not surprising as these sorts of videos barely ever have any actual mistakes in them, it's mostly just stuff the game actively tells you. Yeah. Either i don't understand something or this guy doesnt. You buy duplicates to upgrade rarity AND unlock those secondary stats You upgrade an item in the workshop to upgrade the damage number and class specific numbers (stagger) So you should always buy an upgrade in a shop (or actually buy a dupe).

If you upgrade the caretaker every piece of gear drops at his level. If you have the caretaker at level 5, gear you get is at +5. Thats also the case for gear you buy at other vendors. If you have a chestpiece at +1 and you buy the same in a shop your chestpiece gets up to +5 and the rarity goes up by 1.

This time is you. He meant you should upgrade your workshop before buying new gear. Because if you buy first and then upgrade you need also upgrade your new gear, since upgrading workshop doesn't upgrade gear in your inventory. Of course if you buy piece of gear for better rarity, it doesn't matter.

Correct, The gear level from the chests you open matches workshop level. If you level up a vendor to level 4, you're going to get +4 gear from them even though your workshop is level 8.

Is there a way to tell which faction likes certain objects better in game? Reading an online Excel sheet to figure it out seems daunting and not fun. I'll check if it's a rare item, but if it's a regular doodad I'm just vendoring it hah.

​@@GriffGriffinDragon Age Origins is more traditional RPG, great one I would say. Dragon Age 2 is more corridor one, decent, but worser than 1st one as for me. Dragon Age Inquisition (3rd one), is decent, but I never managed to finish it a single time. Veilguard is more arcade as for me, but still interesting. And all the games have some elements of same sex relations or gender issues.

if your playing on normal diffculty i wouldnt worry too much about gear leveling as the game isnt overly difficult and it doesnt impact that much upgrading the raraty of the item is more important for the perks also if you conplete all side missions which im not sure why you wouldnt as yoyr missing content ..you will hit the rep ranking of all factions without the need to sell anything
