Also, for Rule 21 about digging an extra block in mineshafts, I recommend digging *five* blocks every time, and then when you reach the bottom, craft all that cobblestone you got into cobblestone stairs for super speedy movement.

9:20 in most cases you should break a spawner. Long term investment? Spawner farms are one of least efficient farms in game. Only place where i see spawner farm is drowned copper farm... Ah wait you can do a trident farm instead. EDIT: for drops i recomend multi level auto mob farm with water bucket dispensers enabling and pushing mobs from platform to death from fall damage or campfires. For xp? Just use enderman or gold farm.
@SubToCinder2 жыл бұрын
yes
@MGSLurmey2 жыл бұрын
Difference is, for most players general-purpose mob farms are large, expensive, complicated, and require a lot of time and effort to build. However, a skeleton spawner can be converted to a fairly efficient starter XP farm with just 10 minutes of digging and some wood.
@kjentytek30352 жыл бұрын
enderman farms are one of the simplest farm designs ive encountered. And yes, im talking about the classic best efficiency design, working since 1.9, aka the most complicated one, with 0 requerement to use. for mob drops and xp on begginer level i still recomend running at night or for xp and food build a massive cow/pig farm. spawner farms are outclassed in EVERY single way. However, if youre playing on world with something like silk touch spawners, well, in this very spesific situation spawner farms might be coming close to the traditional farm designs, but still, they will be less efficient. Conclusion: spawner farms are outclassed.

1.Makes sense. 2. Ironically, beds are good as a makeshift explosive, (Provided you have protection and fire resistance) especially when you are mining for Ancient Debris. 3. Actually, not as true anymore. they're useful for quickly harvesting certain blocks, like hay bales, leaves, nether wart blocks, and especially the Sculk blocks! It's more cost-effective you find one as loot or a Villager trade, though. Plus, you NEED to make a Netherite one if you want the "Serious Dedication Advancement" 4. Well, duh! How else can you get a crafting table to make all your other stuff? 5. No, that's cheating. Plus it defeats the purpose of lighting, nighttime, and discovering caves. And that's not as fun... 6. What if I don't want one...? 7. Eh, a Speedrunner thing, but whatever. 8. This is one I have deep fried into my brain. 9. Later. 10. Dig diagonally instead! 11. And don't half-heart it either by just covering up the top. Fill every last block! 12: Light them on fire instead! But seriously, don't hurt the Villagers at all. Unless it's a Nitwit, torch those on sight! 13: Oh, this is annoying... 14: Sure, that's a quick way to make everyone hate you... 15: Same goes with Cats. 16: Floating treeeeeeeees! 17. It's literally useless, but if you want a Trophy... 18. Not until you're on a 4 block tall pillar first! 19: This applies for Zombie, Skeleton and Blaze Spawners, but...You really wanna put up with a swarm of Cave Spiders/Silverfish/Magma Cubes every 5 seconds!? 21: This actually never occurred to me! But what if you needed to get down quicker? 22: On the other hand, you COULD for some quick demolition... 23: That is, unless you REALLY Hate spiders...Other than that, it's pretty useless. Also, who has beef with Bees?! 24: I mean...if you have them to spare...But yeah, that's a bad idea and you should make your house out of something cheaper. And RENEWABLE. 25: One to live by!

For Rule 6, even if you only have one bucket at that moment, just pick up and put down each axolotl you find one at a time. Doing this prevents them from despawning, so if you put them in a secure pond (one with water but no magma blocks and maybe a fence around it) you can come back for them later! Also, you can rename them without having to use name tags! Just rename the axolotl while they are in a bucket with an anvil.

A really minor unwritten rule I always follow, if you're just after wood to craft something and don't care what kind of wood it is, use birch trees. They grow faster than oak, and don't have the chance to turn into the annoying gigachad tall trees with branches that are exceptionally annoying to cut down properly. I've seen so many early game tree farms be slow and inefficient because they get the tall trees that need climbing in to cut them down or just burning. Birch bois solve that problem. Same with dark oak, since the tree is wide enough that you can spiral up them to make sure you get every log. Not to even mention that birch + dark oak is a really nice-looking contrast for builds.

okay just a "little" fix to your video : DO NOT EVER USE OPTIFINE Optifine really is just bad, and you can't prove it otherwise, its becoming extremely outdated, it messes up a lot of mods just for them existing and just using fabric with sodium and iris does the same as optifine but just better in every way (exept for the configuration settings, those are really needed for fabric). i highly recommend trying to find alternative instead of using this aging, rotting garbage. don't even use this in -1.13 (fabric and sodium are 1.14+), because mods + optifine is equal to a lot of stuff breaking or even crashes, the thing optifine is meant to avoid... even if you are in -1.13, these versions aren't very intensive on your gpu unlike the newer ones, so theres no point in it, and if you want shaders (and who the hell plays with shaders on anyway ?), install it for a quick thumbnail or smt for your video im guessing and uninstall it, its not that hard to understand how optifine is really bad (seriously, optifine is just bad, don't use that)
@SubToCinder2 жыл бұрын
fair point, although ngl a lot of people use optifine for playing with shaders (even the PvP community uses shaders like Sildur's Basic or Jeezet Blur) or for tweaking settings on low-end computers to boost the performance of the game. After all, not everyone has the specs that can run -1.13 versions smoothly- just a couple years ago when my setup consisted of a $300 laptop, i was only able to run Minecraft 1.8.9 above 60fps with optifine 😱 i do agree that optifine isn't ABSOLUTELY mandatory to have a fun time on Minecraft, but again these rules are just a general recommendation for having a good and optimal time on the game! Thank you for the feedback and thanks for watching!! :))))
@arthuriii16382 жыл бұрын
Optifine is not "just bad", it is true that Sodium and other fps mods for fabric are better at optimizing fps in minecraft, but optifine is a good alternative. I enjoy using optifine for the customization, it also gives a nice fps boost even on the higher end of machines. For example on my rtx2060 (which I would call a decently good gpu, not the best but in the higher range of gpus), gets more fps from using optifine even in 1.8.9. Also optifine has all the features in one (shader, fps boost, etc) and it supports custom models in resource packs. You should not hate on something if you find something other better. Everyone has their opinions, but minecraft is a great game bc you can play it however you want. You can add and remove mods to your own liking. While sodium is in paper a better alternative if purely looking at perfomance boost, optifine does a fine job as well.

honestly i like digging straight down. it's actually really unlikely that you choose a random spot to start digging and ending up falling in lava. though in early game i dig straight down up until 30-25 height and then i start digging in 2x1. in late game id really care cus i could survive for like half an hour in a lava lake with my full netherite with prot 4 and totems and all of that op stuff lol
@SubToCinder2 жыл бұрын
that's valid!! personally i've fallen straight into lava too many times so i use your 2x1 tactic often but you can do whatever you want in minecraft :))

I break the brightness rule all the time. Nights and caves are supposed to be dark. It really points out that nights and caves can, and will be dangerous, and shouldn't be taken lightly. Especially in the early game when you haven't gotten your hands on armor yet. It also makes certain builds look absolutely STUNNING at night when it's all lit up.
@MGSLurmey2 жыл бұрын
I agree. For most players playing survival I would recommend *against* using fullbright. Taking away darkness just ruins a whole aspect of the experience. Creative builders? Speedrunners? SMP staff? Running events? Fullbright all the way. Survival? Hardcore? Adventure map? Normal brightness. Horror map? *Really* hardcore? Moody brightness. Use what makes sense at the time, just don't use fullbright for everything.

Little funny coincidence: I was scrolling through amazon prime looking for something to watch while the intro played in the background, and I hovered my mouse over "Initial D" (a racing anime) and at that exact moment the sound at 0:34 played. And I though it was a car revving lol. That's all, have a good day

A diamond hoe is one of the best things to spend your diamonds on.. A diamond sword, pick, armor, etc can all be got from villager trades, whereas a hoe cannot, plus with the last couple of updates adding more and more blocks which the hoe breaks very fast such as leaves, shroomlights, nether trees, etc, they are very useful. Couples tips: If you accidentally look at an enderman and are unprepared, keep looking at him, and he won't attack you until you look away, so just back away to safety. When you get to the bottom of your mineshaft, use a stonecutter to craft stairs with the stone you just mined, this will save you lots of time and stamina in the long run.

Always dig a 1 by 2 wide tunnel straight down, because that isn't as dangerous, and you can put a ladder on the side and water at the bottom. it's far more efficient to mine, ladders are cheap, and you can fall the whole way down really quick if you want.
@SubToCinder2 жыл бұрын
I AGREE i use the 1x2 tunnel method all the time :D

I agree with a lot of the rules plus it’s also common sense when you are experienced with the game it self. But, for all the newbies I would suggest my take on these rules, okay let’s just start off with rules that I believe that should be changed/altered within this video. Rule number 5, yes changing your gamma will allow you to see at night time but you are literally editing the game files to see full brightness. A lot of og Minecraft players will just bring their brightness all the way up in the game settings, this will allow players to see in caves and also if they need to light up their house or anything. If players want to see fully without editing the game files there is night vision potions that does exactly the same. Let’s dive into the next rule that I don’t fully disagree but there is better options, and that is rule number 9. Optifine does help with performance but there is a lot of other mods that does ten times better. For example, Sodium. Yes it’s not really built into famous clients yet but if you truly want the best performance, you will go out of your way and install it just like other people installing Optifine by itself. Anyways, rule number 19, it’s pretty straight and forward. If you want an early xp farm you shouldn’t destroy the spawner, in terms of long term an enderman farm or blaze farm will be more beneficial.
