I was there in 2022 for the McMurty Speirling, it was shockingly fast, and the fan running at max made it sound like a mini jet fighter, people were gasping as it tore by.

Heidfeld's run in '99 is still the most spectacular. He was tonking it, and you can visibly see that. That car wanted to snap away from him constantly.

Martin Brundle’s run was amazing to watch live (can’t believe it was 30 years ago 😳) - it was his race car and still set up for Silverstone the week before! It was visibly so much faster, violent and on edge than any of the other cars that day. Infinitely better than watching the current drivers doing donuts 🙄.

Also it blows my mind at how powerful these electric and hybrid cars have become they hold many world records now that were previously unmatched. But remember, most of those other FTD cars have to conform to a set of rules. The McMurtry does not. The Jags in particular are designed to run 24 hour endurance races.
