Not only does the history teacher give you fast travel points, she also tells you about the Pokémon themselves. Basically, there’s was a king in Paldea and he was given 4 items. One was a tablet, one was a sword, anddd I forgot what the other 2 were. Anyways, the items turned into Pokémon (because they were the whole time) and then they destroyed some stuff and killed some people so they got sealed away.

I love how in a region supposed to be based off Iberia, they not only gave us the most Japanese evolution like Kingambit, but also the most CHINESE legendaries too (though to be fair, they're not native to Paldea as they were given to a Paldean king)! The Treasures of Ruin legendary quartet are based off the Four Perils of Chinese mythology. Ting-Lu is Taotie, a gluttonous beast normally depicted on dings, Chinese cauldrons (like one on its head). Chien-Pao is Qiongqi, who devours good people and rewards the wicked. Chi-Yu is Hundun, who has three sets of wings (though Chi-Yu has fins rather wings) and throws itself into a rage for no apparent rational reason. And finally, Wo-Chien is Taowu, who is associated with laziness (hence it being a snail), and can be a stubborn creature who does as it pleases.

This is really cool to know. I’ve found a lot of Pokémon are based loosely on Japanese myths and legends. Ninetails, from what I understand, is based on a Japanese demon.

Additional info: Wo-Chien was given life by the grudges of a person punished for recording the deeds of an evil king, and is inspired by a Chinese metaphor for a person so evil that you would need multiple tablets to have a full record of their sins. Chien-Pao was given life by the hatred of the innocent people slain by the sword embedded in its body. Chi-Yu was given life by the envy of people who desired its beads so much that they waged war over them. Ting-Lu was given life by the fear of people in ancient times, possibly the evil king's subjects.

Also the Stakes are the colors of the types the Pokemon are weak to chi-yu is blue Like the Water Type. Wo-chien is purple Like the Poison type. Chien-pao is orange Like the fire Type. And ting-lu is a Bit Green Like the Grass Type. Funny right

That's cool, my first shiny was a Mudbray in Violet. As I remember, I was battling a wild Tera Pokemon, and caught what looked like a shiny to the left of me, and indeed it was. I did train it for a time, then switched it out for another pokemon.

my first every shiny was a geodude in pokemon pearl. It was the first game to get me back in the series so I didn't know how rare or what even a shiny was. I had just got my pokemon and was walking through the tall grass leveling up. Suddenly appears a yellow geodude. I thought it was just a gender thing, some special coloring I wouldn't care about. I fainted it for the xp. (So dumb). I was so stupid, I bought the magikarp from the guy for 500 moneys. I thought iy was some special rare 'mon until I saw it.

When I was travelling to alfornada I found a shiny fletchinder,I wanted sinistea chips And around 3 hours after that I saw a frigibax spawn (I didn't know about the cave) and found a shiny cubchoo! I'll save you the trouble, use Perrserkrr with its hidden ability, a team of perrserkers because the hidden ability increases steel type moves damage for 50% and allies. It stacks for each Perserrker on field and make sure to use a choice band or metal coat.

Use Gholdengo! He can solo most 6 star raids. Modest nature, 252 in HP/Special Attack and rest in defense. Nasty plot x3. Metal sound x3. Max your Sp Atk and lowers bosses special defense by max. Use steel beam. 4th move is recover

The fact that they gave the Treasures of Ruin just Tunak Tunak Tun as the battle theme...I can't. 😂Even if the Cascarrafa elevators are slow, I still enjoy Cascarrafa's music (thanks Toby Fox) and the Portuguese architecture of both Cascarrafa and nearby Porto Marinada. Cascarrafa's name comes from cascata, the word for waterfall in Portuguese. Cascarrafa's blue and white houses are based on those in coastal places like Porto Covo. Porto Marinada is based off Costa Nova, nicknamed the Venice of Portugal with all its canals. The colorful striped houses in Porto Marinada are fishermen's cottages (used by them to store their nets) IRL called palheiros or Portugese for haystacks.

In Scarlet/Violet, ahh you only get the keys to one of the Best (non-box Legendary) Pokemon of all time don't worry folks!

I do really like the new Pokémon games, they're great but Botw is such an amazing game and has so many things to do and unique little details.

They're amazing. _This_ is how to do proper, rewarding Shrine gameplay (are you listening ahem , Breath of the Bore??) Not spam Us with 100+ repetitive points that while would be fine if the game had actual real Dungeons - it doesn't. They soak up all 'points of interest' & become so predictable - you're never surprised at what you might discover. Scarlet/Violet gives you 4 amazing Pokémon (arguably some of the Best outside Box-legendaries) and great lore behind them.

I was needing this video yesterday but I already got them all now thankfully 😂. I really like all the new legendaries. Especially the goldfish and snow leopard. I caught all these Pokémon in pokeballs that best matched their color scheme. A nest ball, a dive ball, a luxury ball, and repeat ball. I’m sure you can guess what Pokémon went in what ball. I was debating to catch the ice one in a premier ball cause of the white but I chose the dive one cause of how much blue is present.
