One thing I love about Baraka's X-Ray is that it's not just a reference to his original fatality, but also seems to reference the best scene in MK history from Shaolin Monks, where Baraka held a monk up on his blade, stabbed him a couple times, stabbed him through the head, and then threw the dead body towards Liu Kang, with Kang's immediate response being to ask the corpse, "are you okay?"

So many memories from this game, I remember spending hours in online mode, 1v1s, 2v2s, king of the hill and then going back to practice mode to perfect my combos. Even though its been like, 11 years since this game first came out it it's still one of my favorite MKs ever

Some mistakes made over there... 1. Stryker's X-Ray also features 3 actions, but the third one doesn't really show up, as it's the electrocution, showing the skeleton trembling. 2. Kitana's X-Ray can also be performed in the air. Cyber Sub-Zero is the only who RECQUIRES him to be in the air to be activated.

Great list. The X Rays were a great addition to Mortal Kombat. Despite that, I never thought about my favorites but being reminded I love Baraka's and Cyber Sub Zero's a lot, especially that huge ice sword lol. I did always like Kitana, Jade, and Mileena's X Rays as well. Ha, I always liked Noob Saibot's cause they vomited on his leg, yuck LMAO! I forgot how great Sonya's is, and Sektor's is pretty good too. Honestly, most of these are pretty damn good so most of them are #1 to me lol. Yay, sounds like Nightwolf is next! Here's a fun fact for you guys. This was eventually patched out (there is video on here of it though), but if you do Johnny Cage's X-Ray and keep holding both buttons down something special happens. Continuing to hold the button's down during the initial X-Ray allowed you to immediately and repeatedly use the X-Ray with no super meter basically causing an infinite to happen if player or A.I. kept attempting to attack you.

The best and worst thing about Sonya's is that the X-Ray will only connect if you hit the final kick in the initial combo she throws. So, if you try to do a juggle combo and the opponent slips out of the hit box for that kick, you just burn your whole meter for nothing. But also, if your opponent stops blocking on the wrong moment before she finishes the combo, the kick will connect and she'll crush them good for the mistake.
