Well, for commercial footwear in Europe and the Americas… missing a lot of Asian styles, like just the Tibi boots or shoes… but also many other styles. And many are variations of the same thing.. a stiletto is a type of high heeled shoe… 😊 - but fun information 😊

What a comprehensive guide! Thank you, Aly ❤ I'm a South Carolina native and flip flops and Sperrys are the most popular shoes there as it's a coastal state that brags the most beautiful beaches on the east coast (Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head Island, Beaufort).

Hi Ally great work on this video as usual , very comprehensive. You forgot to mention the jodhpur boot which is an ankle boot quite like the classic Chelsea except it closes with a strap that goes around the ankle. It hasn’t been in fashion for women for quite some time now but it is a classic in men’s shoes. That red top looks simply divine on you

Please do more research into Ugg’s Australian roots! They weren't invented in the 1950s or by an American. Ugg boots actually have a long history in Australia, where they were worn by surfers and farmers as far back as the 1920s for their warmth and comfort. Despite creating the original Ugg boots, Australians are now legally prevented from using the word "Ugg" by American courts due to the trademark held by the U.S. company. It’s a serious and contentious issue.

As a Russian immigrant to America, it is always funny to me how different the connotqtions are for different kind of shoes (even the term 'shoes' itself is controversial - my sister and I ultimately settled on 'footwear' as the most general term for 'обувь'). Boots, for instance, imply footwear with no laces (сапоги), but to an English speakers, doc martens and timberalands first come to mind. My husband gets confused when I refer to sandals or sneakers as 'shoes', and I get confused when my toddler calls his rainboots "ботинки"

@@No.to98 mmm no,soft classic is moderate and slightly (just slightly) short,but you are not very moderate in height and If that is your height, you can only be gamine,romantic (or ingenue, but is not included in kibbe,but in another sistem is(Mcjimsey) if you are curvy, short or moderate in height and your limbs are short and fleshy,consider R,TR or SG ,if they are long,(like long arms and short legs,or short arms and long legs,and they are very thin,consider one of the gamine family. SN: if you discover that you are in R family, you can try to emulate SC style(while still in R lines) go for :light fabrics,waist emphasis, and put some ornamented earring or neckaces (could any acessory and you are ready to go!
@No.to985 ай бұрын
@@YumeraChauque okay thank you. Gamine style doesn’t suit me. Not even short hair. Even though people told me I am a mix of Audrey Tatou and Winona Ryder. But now that I lost weight also on my face I got more sharp lines and don't really look soft. Big eyes, long nose, full lips. Well anayway I will try what you said, go with SC lines but softer Fabrics. And I decided to wear black anyway lol :D thanks a lot!
