It looks so easy, doesn't it? I have been having the worst time getting my crimps to work properly. I am going to follow your instructions to the letter and am also going to try the all-in-one tool. Thanks for telling us about it!

Too bad that the demonstrator moved out of camera range when making the second crimp. That was what I wanted to learn.

am having problems with my crimping tube and crimp bead falling to pieces when trying to crimp them. I have used different brands and types. I even had them fall apart when they were gold. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. If I squeeze lighter they don't bend. What is a good brand and type that won't break apart? I would like to use them for making bracelets. Ty

It's the other end I have problems with after all the beads are on. Maybe you could make a video on that! I really struggle getting the crimp bead down far enough close to the beads. Thanks

How come some other videos on this they are doing the other way around. First the crescent shape and then the oval? I notice that different people , different ways. But shouldn't there just be a certain way? Yours look the nicest to me. For me it doesn't seem to matter because no matter what I try, a tube or a bead crimp , I can never do it right. My crimps end up literally falling apart. And I have tried different brands and types. They don't want to fold over for me. I think I may be getting them too small maybe. Can you recommend a size and brand for me to practice on that pretty much can go on any bracelet piece, especially stretchy bracelets? TY

If you are having trouble with crimps working buy twisted crimp & only pliers needed pricey but really solves your problem. I have done this and never looked back to get it to work.

Hi can i ask what kind of wire you are using that doesnt easily bend? Is that tiger tail wire or cable wire?
@houseofgemsonline Жыл бұрын
Hello ! Tiger tail wire is much more flexible , the one being shown in video are Beadalon brand(cable wire) . For both flexibility and durability we recommend Beadalon.

I have really only used the crimp tubes... not the bead crimps.. (the round ones) and I tried using them and the first crimp it flattened the bead.. and I went to "crimp" it on the 2nd go round the crimp bead shattered.. it was too brittle for two.. Is ther ea special crimp plier you use for round crimp beads?

No one cuts the extra wire to the crimp it makes the ends point downward I told someone that worked for a bead seller as a jewelry maker and instructor and she now knows to leave about an inch of wire to keep the ends from pointing downward. Because I tried it her way and it did not look right at all so I tried it my way and it was perfect. I've seen other professionals doing this as well. But this tutorial is not for the bulldog crimp which this video was listed under. But never cut that extra piece unless it's over 1 inch.

@enkilKINGofKEMET6 жыл бұрын
It's been a year since your comment so I'm sure you know already, but just in case.. there are similar bits made that you just fold over the end of your cord, and they have a little circle on the end to put a jump ring on.
