You have to use the deep conditioner before you use the normal conditioner because the normal conditioners purpose Is to close your cuticels

Malaika Geffi I've never heard that. Conditioner is just for moisture.

This is true. I’m a cosmetologist, considering your cuticle is freshly opened with shampoo, and conditioners of any sort close the cuticle, whichever you put on your hair first is what your cuticle is going to take in the most/what will begin closing the cuticle making it harder for the next product to be fully absorbed

I love to deep condition my hair and my daughter's hair once a week but I have yet to buy a $36 hair mask. I'll pass on that one because there are so many great deep conditioners out there that are reasonably priced. Me and my daughter have a lot of hair (we are both only a few inches away from waist length) so we go through deep conditioners like crazy. My favorite ones are Shea Moisture the Raw Shea butter, the Jamaican Black Castor oil and the Manuka Honey and Mafura oil line. They are so bomb. Now another great find that is even less expensive is Garnier Whole Blends Avocado oil and Shea butter mask. When I tell you my hair be so soft and moisturized after using these products...love them ❤️

Be careful where you get your Moringa . A lot of it is brought in from foreign countries, and NOT good quality. You can also grow it, which I do. I just don't grow enough to last a year, so I buy from EL GEE Naturals, when I run out of mine. I use 2 tsp per day. Sometimes you can get seeds from EL GEE. 321-405-9188. Bianca! Thank you so much for these videos! I've lived my whole life using just a gigantic detangling paddle brush and oil. I finally broke down and splurged on a bunch of DevaCurl products, and quickly learned about the surrounding controversy around them (starting with your video about). Since I already bought them, I tried them out for a few weeks, but it definitely made my scalp dry and itchy and gave me mega amounts of dandruff. But I started watching your other videos and have been learning about porosity and curl patterns. More than I've ever learned in my 29 years! Thanks to you I found curly girl on reddit, and made a shopping trip to get some new products. I was overwhelmed by the amount of products and I wasn't sure what the difference between the leave-in conditioner and the masque was, and so this video was really helpful. Last night was the first night in my life that I brushed my hair in sections! It took 2 hours, but I finger twirled it and wrapped it in my silk pillowcase and the next morning I was blown away by the immediately noticeable difference. Thank you so much. I can't thank you enough for posting these videos, and helping me with my corona glow up. Here's to being today years old when I finally learned how to take care of my curly hair.

I'm 6 months natural and I have never skipped my deep conditioning treatment, I do it every Friday for 1 - 2 hours and I love it. I was wondering if it would be bad or good deep condition two times a week. Could that damage my hair?
@cassandracano76757 жыл бұрын
some people deep condition twice a week just be careful cause you can over moisterize your hair which can damage it
@Yungwhitt7 жыл бұрын
Just do it once a week. Don't risk it

People usually deep condition twice a week if they have suffered some damage. If it's healthy once a week should be enough.

Look into protein and moisture balance and make sure you use it as a guide or your hair could break off
@juhiberi6 жыл бұрын
Protein masks should not be done twice a week. A second mask then should be a hydrating one. Protein masks can make the hair break if used excessively and too often. I will locate this one person’s link who explained it beautifully who uses Moroccanoil hair restructuring and hydrating masks.

Maui Moisture is also at Ulta. Also y’all should try the Shea Moisture JBCO treatment masque and Aubrey Organics GPB Moisture Balancing conditioner. Those two deep treatments are amazing for Moisture and for strengthening, if you have a problem with a lot of shedding those will definitely help with that. I swear by them!

I swear I was laughing watching this video with my best friend, because yesterday we just got our first DevaCut and been talking about deep conditioning. My best friend skips out on it sometimes lol. But she laughed because I have the Maui, the SheaMoisture, and talked about purchasing the DevaCurl Melt in Moisture one. I'm Jennifer and I'm a curly hair product junky!! 👻fam!

I recently started watching your videos because my curly hair has lost its life ☹ I’ve learned so much and have had much success with weekly deep conditioning mask & steaming my hair (learned about this on another KZbin channel). I've used the Deva Curl Melt into Moisture matcha butter conditioning mask, love it. I've also mixed the Deva Melt into match butter and Deep-sea repair mask. My curls look healthier and my hair has more bounce 😊😊 I'm looking forward to using the Shea Moisture 10 in 1 I just purchased it. I’ll keep you posted. Thank you LOVE your videos & hair!

I like to do the deep conditioner before I wash my hair. I add a conditioner (I've never used an actual mask before, just random conditioners I have lying around) and apply it usually to dry or slightly dank hair, then leave it in for twenty minutes, then shampoo and condition as usual
@ashleyjaggon58376 жыл бұрын
@Serena Mc Conditioners and Deep Conditioners are two different things you cannot use a Conditioner as a Deep conditioner and vice versa.

Deep sea repair is otw and I can’t wait to try it out! I have high porosity hair that is prone to breakage and needs protein, I also use a lot of heat!! Love your recommendations, I’m going to Walmart later and trying to find me some of the first ones you mentioned that are affordable because I love my hair masks and deep conditioner and your hair is beyond gorgeous and lovely!

Hey new subscriber! Currently binge watching lol. Great video! I've never tried any of those products but I will definitely try one or two. My go tos are the Cantu Deep Treatment Masque and Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque, have you tried either one?

Can you make a video about individual stand knots since you have fine hair as well ? I get them all the time and I don’t know how to get rid of them 🙁 I normally just cut them
@juliaarnold017 жыл бұрын
Alexis Belle there isn't anything you can do besides cut it unless you wear your hair in styles like braids so it doesn't have a chance to knot up

It has a form of formaldehyde in the formula. It's actually not all natural and a lot of people online were having the same results you did.

I found The Mane Choice brand Herbal Hair Tonic & Soy Milk Deep Hydration Mask on clearance at Target last week. I read the reviews on Target’s website and they sounded good. I’ve used it twice and it has really made my hair look great each time. For days at a time. It’s full of different oils, herbal extracts and vitamins. It says it’s gentle enough to use daily. I’ve also used Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil hair mask. I got a packet size of it from Walmart for what seemed like a great deal because I got 4 treatments from it. It really worked great each time but I’m not sure about buying it again because it has something methosulfate in the ingredients and it’s higher up in the ingredients list, so there’s gotta be a significant amount of it in there. I’d like to try other Shea Moisture masks. I just wish more came in those little packets so I don’t have to commit around $15 for something I’ve never tried...
