Your video has been informative ... and you may have touched on the root cause of the problem I am having. I've already seen 3 doctors and 2PTs and haven't heard what you have presented in this video. The 3 doctors and 2PTs have different views on what the problem is but they contradict one another. The curious thing is that what you have stated in this short video seems to align with what I am feeling and what I've tried to communicate with my docs. Thank You.

Thank you so very much. I have all these symptoms and went to the orthopedist yesterday. They were not certain and I go for a follow up on Wednesday. Definitely will bring up Equinis during my follow-up.

Hello. My friend has equinus deformity from leg lengthening for 5cm, is it be possible to fix it with massage, stretching and physical therapy? It’s been about 3-4 weeks since after stated to feel very tight muscle and ankle. Is it still treatable without surgery?

Hi Donald, thank you for this video. Very informative. I am 38 year old male who had tendon rupture during a F45 crosfit session. I had surgery about 11 weeks ago, I now have a very bad gait from what I think is the equinus. I feel my ankel is sized up like someone put a lock onto it. I did knee to wall test I barelly can get a 90 degree. I walk with my foot on the outside. What you recommend I should do? Will this go away? Thank you in advance!

I would get checked out. Try foam rolling, Shockwave to injured tissue and night splint if very tight during rest. Physical therapy is a must. Hope it helps.

I have Equinus foot left I have my operation in tendon Achilles lengthening surgery it's been 5 years I still use crutches

I have an 8 yo with very tight heel cords. I had him evaluated and he was prescribed orthotics. Could not get dad to cooperate, and he now lives with him. Refuses to put him in braces, says to do stretches... but this does not help. Toe walking has gotten worse has increased and I'm concerned that he will end up having to have surgery at some point. His calves and heels are so tight he is in almost constant pain.

Please don’t wait too much longer for surgery, my daughter went through casting, braces, Botox. Finally surgery at 11 that was no walk in the park at all and still tightness and issues. 😢
