Yes , in the day time always apply sunscreen. Not only for kojic acid but for any serums that you are using. Unprotected sun exposure can cause early signs of aging and skin cancer and many other issues as well. So make it a habit of using using sunscreen at daytime.

Kojic acid doesn’t cause darkening of skin. Are you using sunscreen in the daytime. If not please use sunscreen & if still darkening continues than stop for few days and observe what’s going on with your skin…

Yes , even if you use it at night time still using sunscreen at daytime is very important. Sunlight & heat might be causing the darkening . Try using sunscreen in the day time and see what happens. If still it continues than stop the serum for few days
