Visited a few years ago from Vancouver, Canada...stayed at the Lagos Avenida Hotel...very nice and great location...for food kept going back to Tasca Da Lota by the train station..basic bench seating but excellent food at very reasonable prices. Wanted to rent a motorcycle from Sidecar32 but they required an international driving permit on top of your regular m/c licence; this wasn't required in Lisbon, so get one in your home country before arrival if you want to rent from them. Recommend a boat tour leaving from the marina(cross the pedestrian bridge and you will see the tour kiosks) It's about an hour tour along the cliffs to the West..beautiful...unable to find biltong in Lagos though ;)...nice job Nick!

Hey, so I am going to be moving to Portugal here in the next few years. I am headed to Algarve. Where I am going to settle there, I do not know yet. I am moving and taking my wife and 4 kids with as well. What is key on our list is a good school to integrate the kids and then a house outside the city. We are obviously not opposed to renting for the first year. Initially, Lagos looks like a good spot but dang our houses expensive there lol. We can move further away from the beaches and $$$ goes down though. Anyway, in your opinion, what would be a great town that would have a good international school nearby. The kids love to bike, kayak, climb trees and rocks, explore, and swim. Thoughts? ty

I have a few questions about COVID 19 down in the Algarve. What are the requirements in the everyday? Do you have to wear a mask when you are outside just walking around in the public? When you go into stores is there somebody there taking your temperature and having you sanitize your hands? Just wondering to what extent they are doing things down in the Algarve? I appreciate any comments that you might have. We are looking at coming this Spring on our Visa. We are visiting Panama right now and they have this going on everywhere. Just wondering. Thanks. I like all the videos. They are very helpful.
@AlgarveAddicts3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bryan and Cindy, yes masks are obligatory in public (when around other people) and you can be fined if you don't comply. When you go into stores, they control the amount of people inside and always urge you to wash your hands (although all stores except grocery stores are now closed in our current lockdown). I hope that helps.
