However, since you asked me, I believe the Kurds deserve a state, and it's up to Turkey, Syria, and Iraq (and the UN) to help them achieve it. Sadly, the political will has never been there. Turkey actively oppresses its own Kurdish population, far worse than Iraq or Syria do, the so the onus is on them, more than the other states, to lead the way making Kurdistan a reality.

Cyprus is not divided in two countries but is occupied by Turkey since 20th of july in 1974. Turkey tries to establish a state in the occupied area. However no UN state haw yet recognize the occupied area as a state. If you visit the occupied area have in mind that and there are no democratic procedures and there is no legal state procedures that are recognized by UN. If you search the truth you can read the United Nations ( UN ) decisions about the invasion in Cyprus. we welcome our fellow Turkish cypriots to make one free state and together to enjoy the freedom and the Human Rights that the European family offers today to all of her citizens. We have been living together peacefully for centuries and we can do it again. I remember very well my good Turkish cypriot neighbours who were forced by turkish invasion to leave their villages and moved to the occupied area as 200000 cypriots did. Be aware of the propaganda! I stopped watching at the "1973 peace movent". For anyone unaware of the history reading the comments, you can look up the Turkish invasion of Cyprus that took place in 1974 and the ethnic cleansing that followed. Since then the north part of the island is illegally occupied by Turkey. Considering how this video starts you can decide how much trust to put in whatever else is said.

I gave thumbs up at the "1973 peace movement." Greece has no business supporting far right pope led religious majoritarian governent calling for minority turkish cypriots genocide and ethnic cleansing. Turkey did the best thing and must be lauded by the world for saving norther cyprus from genoside of minority community. World must recognise Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and courage tourism along with spliting aegean sea into greece and turkey. Time and come to movie forward.

Don't believe what a silly minority of Greeks say about north Cyprus it is a paradise with very nice and friendly people, you can buy property with no problems, there are a lot of expats living there, it's not like parts of the south full of drugs and drunks, have the best relaxing holiday you can, it's family orientated, no louts spoiling your fun you can cross the border into the Greek side with no problems, quickly show your passport while you walk through, same on the other side.
