Hi Doctor, for about a month I have had bouts of lightheadedness, feeling faint, and occasionally a brief quick sensation in my head. I would describe it as feeling I’m only 70% there and not fully attentive. But strangely this tends to happen only when sitting down in the car or at a desk/table. Standing I feel 90-95% myself. I am going through this exact thing. The grocery store is a hell no. Today, my son had a dentist appointment and I couldn’t even take him because I woke up and felt like I was going to tip over. All blood tests are normal and they cannot find anything. I got a CT of mid section (they thought an artery was being compressed) and MRI of brain (to rule out brain tumor)… had so many tests done… it is literally unbearable. They just told me to hydrate but I have drink the same amount of water every day my entire life and I have never felt like this and I don’t think it’s dehydration and I left my psychiatrist office after she told me it’s just extreme anxiety.. I went to my cardiologist because I thought it was my heart because I have a heart arrhythmia and he gave me a two week monitor and they didn’t find anything crazy on that.. they sent me to an ENT Doctor Who said it could be vestibular migraines and I am waiting on a tilt table test from a specialist that is like six months out to rule out POTS watch a lot of people are getting after having long-haul Covid. The only diagnosis I have had so far is “vestibular migraines” and I’m not even sure that’s it.

I cannot do anything physical. At most, I'll be able to do an hour or two a day of activity on my feet. Then I will randomly get disassociated, lightheaded, and need to hold onto things. Only way I've been able stay in my dark room and watch stuff because it distracts my brain from it. I have bad anxiety and also suffered from a concussion 6-8 months ago. I just came across this. I've had a series of odd medical issues. They discovered i have mild scoliosis. However they don't link it to any of my symptoms. Ive had backache, sciatica, pins and needles in my hands, severe burning in my left shoulder. I developed a sore throat that lasted a year. Then tinnitus with this weird light headed feeling. It's lifestyle. What's your circadian rhythm like? Going to bed late? Sleeping in? Different times etc. Hormones become imbalanced, hence the extreme light headedness, palpatations, hair falling out easily, etc. Also check things like b12 and vit D levels.

Dr. Gregg, I have been dealing with a "mild" form of lightheadedness for about 3 weeks now. Some days it appears to be subsiding. But other days it seems to come back a little stronger, but not to the point of feeling faint. For me, I honestly don't have no idea. I have multiple factors that could cause it. From panic attacks, anxiety & GERD. I use Omeprazole for my GERD its helped me sleep, I used to wake up everyday after few hours of sleep with a horrible burning in my throat & cheat. It was horrible, now it's gone thanks to that medication, might wanna ask your doctor what you can have for your acid reflux if its bothering you!

I live in Japan and having trouble finding a chiropractor. The places I have gone will not adjust my shoulder the way I feel it needs to be adjusted. Rather they use magnets and hand touch to "guide" my organs into the correct place. The other chiro. Did just push on my back over and over with his fingers near my spine. I go to the dr at the hospital and had an x-ray months ago when I was admitted for my intestines. I understand they are the professional and respect that. Yet I feel as if my shoulder ball and socket joint is misaligned due to a rear-ended car accident where I was the passenger. I wss seat belted in and my right arm whiplashed in front of me while is was sitting up and turned left looking at the driver. We were stopped at the time the car hit us from behind. Do you have any advice on how I can better suggest a more aggressive adjustment?

Okay I have came back now to type a more in depth explanation on my phone so its easier. Back in March 2024 I drank 1.5 frozen coffees from dunkins (im not a coffee drinker anyway) & had some donuts in about a 2 hour span. My heart started racing and I felt like I was having anxiety so I laid down for a minute but it wouldn’t go away; I tried taking a warm bath but felt like I was going to pass out. Called 911 and everything checked out fine; I had SOB & Chest pains from then until about end of July. Chest pains went away but SOB stayed & on came lightheaded (like im going to pass out) & dry mouth as well as fatigued. Shortness of breath has since gone away & dry mouth isn’t there nearly as bad but the Fatigue & Lightheadedness is insane. Its all day every day , no stop in sight. What can cause this? My cardiologist said everything is good , my pcp said everything is good. All my tests are normal including Magnesium & B12 . Please help someone. Life isn’t even enjoyable.

Hi Dr, I'm really hoping that you may be able to point me in the right direction for my mother. She's 77 and has been suffering with 'this lightheadedness', as she says, for about ten years, on and off. I'd say over the last 6 years it has gotten much worse to the point now where I feel like we have exhausted many different avenues. The final one is next week where she has been referred to an ENT clinic, where they will do all their tests. She's not deficient in B12 or D, she takes a very low dose blood pressure medication (her dr has reduced the dose and played around with timings of taking the medication to no avail). She also takes thyroxine as she had her thyroid 'killed off' about five years ago to cope with hyperthyroidism, but doesn't take anything else. She's moderately active and not at all overweight. She's recently had her eyes tested and regular checks with the dentist and they are all fine. We live in the UK and I'd be so grateful if there's any way that you could recommend a clinic that does the kind of tests that you describe here. I worry about her falling over and it's at a tipping point where I feel it's stopping her from living her life. Anyway, I understand that you have the whole world asking, but if you could point me in the right direction, that would be amazing. Thanks so much in advance.
